QUICK START INSTRUCTIONS
Load V4 into the scene and inject desired morphs.
Use of V4 Clothing Magnets is required with this piece, so if ‘Auto Magnetize’ is not on,
please apply V4 magnetizer Clothing Poses.
Load desired pieces and “Fit To” V4, if they haven't been fitted automatically.
Morph and pose your character and set pieces as desired.
Load V4 into the scene and inject desired morphs.
Make sure V4 in your scene is selected prior to inserting each cr2 in your scene. This step is critical to ensure Superconforming and JCM's work properly.
Load desired cr2 into the scene.
Use of V4 Clothing Magnets is required with this piece, please apply V4 magnetizer Clothing Poses.
Select the loaded object, and conform to V4.
Make sure V4 in your scene is selected AGAIN, before inserting the next clothing cr2 (such as cap or harness) into the scene.
GENERAL USE TIPS
All CR2's will load with no materials applied. Once in the scene, please navigate to ….Runtime\libraries\Pose\WelderGirl\WelderGirlMAT… pose directory and apply desired material poses. This will work for both, Poser and DS. In DS, pay specific attention that the scene object and the corresponding surface are both selected. Otherwise the material may not apply.
Clothing items make use of JCM and Super conforming (crosstalk) features. For Poser, It is recommended you follow the loading procedure outlined in quick start instructions to ensure the morphs in the clothing link properly to those in the V4 figure. Failure to do this may result in severe pokethroughs. If the JCM or Super conforming link should break or not activate for some reason, you may still use the Dial(s) in the BODY (or body part) group to manually morph the clothing as needed.
Clothing and especially poses are meant to be used with V4's IK chain and limits off.
Magnetizing clothing items to V4 is required.
This product also contains many loosen/tighten and adjust morphs to aid with fits in a wide range of poses.
StylingMorphs - these are the fun morphs, but can also aid in fitting. Please take you time to familiarize yourself with their look and function. Our products have a lot of them. The rest is up to your immagination. Not all styling dials will work well when mixed. What works together well is mostly based on common sense.
LoosenTighten Morphs - these morphs aid in adjusting fit and correcting minor poke thru you may encounter with some poses.
BodyMorphs - Full Body Morphs to match those commonly used with V4 are included with the product. The dial setting values on these are best kept between 0 and 1. Higher or lower setting +/- can yield undesired results. However, you can often use the Loosen-Tighten and Styling Morphs to compensate.
Poser and DAZ Studio materials have been assembled to work with medium intensity white light combined with medium intensity IBL. For more refined results, specularity, reflection, diffusion and other shader parameters may need additional adjustments to perform best under your lighting of choice. This is normal. There are no “one size fits all” solutions for every shader/lighting combination.
SPECIFIC USE TIPS
JUMPSUIT - The jumpsuit can be used with the tank top and underwear or without them. In more extreme poses, tank top and underwear may poke through in sport. If this occurs, please use the ADJ morphs in the jumpsuit to correct this.
TANKTOP and UNDERWEAR - Can be used with the Jumpsuit, or on their own. Used on their own they can be used many different ways. We included a few fun and risqué morphs in those as well.
BALLCAP - Ballcap can be used forward, and turned backwards (please take a few minutes to examine it’s morphs. When using it with the welding mask, please turn the ballcap backwards. Both, Mask and the cap are made to interact with the Toolgirl hair. Use with other hair sets will require manual adjustments. If you are fitting the cap to Aiko 4 or G4, use normal fit morph, or ballcap backwards fit morph, but not both together.
WELDING MASK - It is rigged so that the mask can flip up and down. It also has few shaping morphs. It can be used with the ballcap, or without it. When the mask is down, the ballcap is meant to be turned backwards - see morphs inside ballcap. When the mask is up, you may turn the ballcap forward, or leave it backwards.
WELDING TORCH - Think of it as a Hollywood theatrical prop. We did not rig all the details on the torch. It’s cable is rigged with couple bones for basic movement. If you can not pose it in the right spot, please turn that body part, or material OFF. Part of the reason we didn’t go into more complex rigging on the welding torch is because it was heading into the direction of Poser rigging limitations of not being able to parent or attach one prop at two ends…. So we ended up having to draw the line somewhere.
TEXTURES - This set has two sets of Jumpsuit textures made by Surreality, and also a large number of tank top and underwear textures and color options, to get you started. More elaborate Jumpsuit texture pack is on it‘s way.
WORKING WITH DS 2.x
Make a copy of a ….Runtime\libraries\Pose\WelderGirl\WelderGirlMAT… directory. I usually name it “MATSDS2”
Delete .dsb or .dsa files from the ….Runtime\libraries\Pose\WelderGirl\WelderGirlMAT… directory. This will leave you with Plain Poser .pz2 files which will load the textures, in a normal DAZ Studio fashion. Specularity, bump, displacement and other material settings need to be optimized manually.
Wayii was very kind and made a set of DAZ Studio 2 Materials for this set. DS2 Mat Download
CR2’s are located in …Runtime\libraries\Character\WelderGirl
MAT Poses are in: …Runtime\libraries\Pose\WelderGirl\WelderGirlMAT This folder also contains several DS utility MAT Poses for metal and transparency.
It has come to our attention that during the first few days of release one of the Texture PZ2 files for the jumpsuit was defective. In case you have a defective file, you can find a correct file here: 001-jumpsuitspiral.zip You will have to place it manually in …Runtime\libraries\Pose\WelderGirl\WelderGirlMAT
Please see readme file included with the product for a full file list.
