Usage Tips or Limitations:

  • The bodysuit, armgloves, and choker included in this package are super-conforming.
  • In addition to the many V4 and A4 morphs included in the bodysuit, there are special fitting morphs for posing and problem joints and/or areas, specifically in the arm, hip and the left and right thigh groups. If you experience any poke thru, please use these dials
  • NOTE: If you are using the bodysuit with Kay and have applied the “Fit Kay” pose to the bodysuit,then you use the REM file for her body morphs, you will also need to select the bodysuit and do a “figure – restore” in order to remove the extra morphs.
  • In the Pose Library under “DMR Kay/KayClothes”, you will find:
    • Mat pose to apply additional fitting morphs to the bodysuit for use with Kay.
    • Footpose for Boots, which locks the toes in the appropriate bend pose.
    • Unlock Pose for V4 toes.
    • Mat poses to apply textures for bodysuit, boots, or armglove.
    • Mat poses to apply either gold or silver texture to hardware for all pieces.
    • Mat poses to hide or show the leggings.
    • Mat poses to hide or show nipples on V4.

Product Notes

Poses:

  • Load the model of your choice, locate the pose-folder called: “DMR Kay” ⇒ “Poses” and load any pose you would like to use. All poses are zeroed and can be used everywhere.
  • If you apply a lantern pose and the spear loads in a wrong position, you just need to apply the pose again so the lantern will “jump” into the correct position.
  • To place your character easy in the Patio you will find the respective Goto poses.
  • In your hands folder called: “DMR Kay” you will find 2 hand poses for the included lantern and weapon.
  • All poses come in two versions. With and witout foot wear. Look for the B for poses with footwear

Lights and cameras:

  • All camera - and light settings from the included pz3 scenes can also be found in your camera and light - folders “DMR KaysLair”.
  • You should render with activated Raytrace in the render settings.

Product Notes

  • When rendering use the Firefly render engine to get the most out of the displacement maps.
  • When using the Adjustment and Partial Body Morphs you do not have to turn them all the way to 1, as this may cause parts of armor to poke through other parts.
  • Large Textures in this product may cause rendering issues on Mac OS versions of Poser. PC Poser and DAZ Studio users are unaffected by this issue.
  • Material Presets for DAZ Studio and Poser now Consolidated
    • DAZ Studio Users:
      • You will no longer need to go to a separate DAZ Studio folder to apply the DAZ Studio Material Presets. Simply apply the MAT Pose from the Poser Pose→ Lux Lucis directory.
      • There is no longer a separate DAZ Studio installer for the DAZ Studio Presets.
    • Poser Users:
      • It is recommended that you do not delete the .DS files from within the product's MAT Pose directory. They will not show up as extra files within Poser, but are required to use the product with DAZ Studio 2.0.

Product updates

  • This product was updated to include support of the V4 Elite Body Shapes; if you bought this product before, just reset your download to get the updated version.

Product Notes

* FEATURES: The Wild Dreads are very versatile with several fitting and movement morphs, multiple color options, and a selection of accessories that can be turned on or off via MAT files.The Wild Dreads fit the following DAZ figures: Victoria4(default), Victoria3, Michael3, David, Stephanie3Petite, Aiko, Aiko Realistic, Hiro, and Hiro Realistic. In additon to the fit morphs, there are 47 movement morphs organized by catagory to be more accessible.
* USAGE INSTRUCTIONS: The Wild Dreads are very resource intensive. The mesh detail and multiple embedded morphs can make it slow to load.
- Load your supported figure into the library
- Open the Hair library and navigate to the Wild Dreads folder
- Select the Wild Dreads and click the “Apply Library Preset” checkmark to load it into your scene
- Go to the Fit Morphs catagory and dial the fit morph for the character you're using to 1
- If you're fitting the hair to V4, you don't need to use any of the fitting morphs, however, due to V4's neck/head jointing there is a morph in the Adjustments catagory called “ScalpBendFix” to fix the scalp when her head is bent forward.APPLYING THE MAT POSESThe MAT poses for Wild Dreads are set into 4 categories, each with a different prefix.
* ! these poses are “full” MATs and apply/change textures to both the hair and the accessories
* A these poses are “partial” MATs and apply/change textures for only the accessories
* H these poses are “partial” MATs and apply/change textures for only the hair
* U these poses are “utility” poses used to hide pieces/parts of the accessories DISPLACEMENT MAPS/RENDERING The Wild Dreads take huge advantage of displacement maps to give them their realistic “feel”. Be sure that when you are rendering you have checked the use displacement maps option in your settings. (The displacement maps for the dreads when using the accessories have been sligtly “reduced” to avoid as much poke through of the hair as possible without taking away from the effect of the displacement on the dreads.)

Resolved Issues

My Mac download didn't install 2 of the displacement maps, the displace_skull and displace_DD. I'm re-downloading in the hopes that it has been updated with the missing files. It's a shame. It looked really good in the scene, but if I can't get the displacement maps, it won't work. Argh. –Re-downloading and re-installing all 3 finally got it to work.

Caleb Hair by AprilYSH is a poly modelled hair prop available at

The hair comes in obj format with jpg colour, bump and transparency maps useable in many 3d applications. The package comes with Poser and DAZ|Studio presets with morphs and material presets included.

Poser Instructions

In Poser content browser, you will find the items in:
Hair > AprilYSH
Pose > AprilYSH > AprilCaleb

To use the hair:

  1. Load your human figure
  2. Load the hair
  3. Apply fit pose for your human figure 1)
  4. Use custom fit dials if you have customised your base figure. For example, if you have Aiko with Realistic set to 0.6 then set the hair's Realistic dial also to 0.6
  5. Apply materials and/or modify them for your own use.


DAZ|Studio Instructions

There is no separate DAZ Studio installer for these Presets. DAZ Studio will automatically apply the DAZ Studio version of the Materials Presets, giving you the correct DAZ Studio look.

Please refer to the Poser instructions as the usage of this item is the same in DAZ|Studio.

Useage Tips

  1. You can easily change hair colours by selecting your own diffuse colour settings for the hair.
  2. After posing, use the morph dials to ensure the neck fits.
  3. You need at least one light in the scene that will provide the highlighting!
  4. If the highlights are too strong or too weak, I recommend you turn the specular/highlight colour to a darker grey or lighter grey as needed, no need to mess with the highlight size or roughness.
