Product Notes

Product Updates

  • October 31, 2008: The Michael 4 Base and Michael 4 Morphs + + products have been updated to correct an issue with how eye blinks are working. There was as discrepancy found in how they operated compared to how they are setup in Victoria 4, and we want to preserve compatibility as much as possible between these two figures. Add-on products that contain expressions that utilized certain eye morphs will also need to be updated. This is an update that everyone needs to install to ensure that all add-on products containing expressions will work as intended by the creators. ( Quote. )

Known Issues

  • The installer requires that a file named 'Poser.exe' is located in the directory where the product is installed.

For this reason, installation for PoserPro fails. (name of executable is PoserPro.exe; a separate content directory may be used.) Add a file named 'Poser.exe' (a simple textfile, renamed, will do) to fool the installer and instal. After installation remove the fake 'poser.exe' to avoid any future complications.

Same method can be used for anyone keeping dedicated Runtimes for figures.

Remember that the Library\!DAZ directory with the morph data needs to be in the core Runtime for proper performance, so copy M4's into the core Runtime to get the installation complete.

* Vladmir uses ExP Morph Technology
* It should be installed to the Runtime containing the !DAZ folder.
* You must run DzCreateExPFiles-M4.bat after installing this product.
* Before using the REM pose, it is necessary to manually set the morph to 0 in order to avoid the eyes not resetting.
* The Valdimir Skull Morph is not linked to the Vladimir master dial in order to allow for hair fitting.
* Prior to Poser 7, Poser can not use the 16 bit .TIF files included. Users of earlier versions should use the “VladimirP6” MAT Pose, which uses an 8 bit .JPG for displacement.
* DAZ Studio uses the 16 bit .TIF files for displacement, regardless of which MAT pose is applied.


* Material Presets for DAZ Studio and Poser now Consolidated
* DAZ Studio Users:
* You will no longer need to go to a separate DAZ Studio folder to apply the DAZ Studio Material Presets. Simply apply the MAT Pose from the Poser Pose→ DAZ's Michael 4\MATerials Hi-Res directory .
* There is no longer a separate DAZ Studio installer for the DAZ Studio Presets.
* Poser Users:
* It is recommended that you do not delete the .DS files from within the product's MAT Pose directory. They will not show up as extra files within Poser, but are required to use the product with DAZ Studio 2.0.
