Product Information

  • Required Products: Bryce 5 or higher
  • You can find new presets/files for Bryce in the following folder(s):
    • Content:The AntFarm:AquaZone

Product Notes

  • Due to the hatch and other items being parented to walls, these items are all provided as scene files that can be merged as needed.
  • The AZModelsUntextured contains four separate scene files containing the four main sections of the prop.
  • The AZ_NewTextures folder contains the complete prop textured with the “New” textures, along with the actual textures.
  • The AZ_OldTextures folder contains just the “Old” textures to change out with the “New” ones.
  • The AZ_MiscTextures folder contains textures just for the Starter Wall to create a variety of different looks and moods.
  • The best way to align props in Bryce would be using the Alignment Tool in the Edit menu. I included a fully constructed model in the package hoping that would be the one distributed as it saves you from the initial pain on placing them. So far Bryce doesn't have a “Spawn Props” type function so every mesh is brought in centered causing you to move it to it's proper location and creating a numeric position in the Object Attributes window other than “0”.
  • Items can also be aligned the in the Object Attributes window. The Object Attributes window is also a good way to open the wall or floor hatch. The door will rotate along it's axis “Y” 360 degrees but is designed to look best at Y 90.00 for full opened, Y 0.0 is closed. The floor hatch can be placed where ever you think it works best on the concrete area or just ajar (in the floor hatches case the closed “Position” is not zero but X 0.06, Y 2.78, Z 0.88 this is helpful to note when you want to place it back.) The fly wheel on the door hatch is deigned to turn as well, in case you wish to animate the opening. All moveable props are Linked to their Parent props in the Object Attributes window and need to remain that way if you want them to operate correctly.
  • If the models are loaded without textures follow these steps for each part of the “Grouped” prop. Select your target part by cycling the Tab key. Follow the steps below and make sure to save your prop fully textured to save yourself these steps in the future.
    • Textures are all applied with the Texture Source Editor. This is the second button from the left on the top row of the Materials Lab pop up window. The best way to begin is after loading a prop click the small “M” (if in wire frame view) to open the Materials Lab window. Click the top of column “A” next to the word “Diffuse” and a dot is placed. Leo should appear in the pop up window to the right. Click the Texture Source Editor button and a new window appears “Pictures”. Just click on a blank square and a Prompt will ask what image you want. Navigate to the texture with the same name as your prop or prop part and click OK. The texture should appear in the first and third window, click OK. Depending upon your defaults the settings for the “Diffuse” may be set at 100. It's best to balance this with the Ambience so I place it at 70 and the Ambience at 30 this works pretty well to give a Realistic look. You must click the “A” column next to the Ambient channel and place a dot before this take effect. For textures with transparent parts drop the provided texture in the center window of the “Picture” window and make sure you dial up the Transparency slider in the Materials Lab and place the dot in the “A” column next to the channel.
    • For all additional wall textures that may be included in this package, They are applied the same way as other textures listed above. The only exception is you will need to chose the manner of projection as they are not UV mapped. This is easy to do, select the Texture Mapping Mode, the button in the bottom right corner of Leo's pop up. From the drop down window pick “Object Front” and you're set. The “Starter Wall” has three parts, for best results apply this to the entire grouped wall.
