Product Notes

The cloak has body handles for a variety of movements

1.1 Use tips:

  1. Leg Bodyhandles: Use always the dials to deal with bodyhandles, the results are always much more accurate and sooft than with direct manipulation. I Strongly encourage final user to uncheck Poser “Use Limits” option when dealing with bodyhandles.
  2. Shoulder pad posing: Shoulder pads have a set of bodymorphs (Main channels allocated in the “BODY” part) to fix some poke trough in extreme collar posing. Sometimes, simply by rotating/twisting/bending the Pads, the poke through is fixed.
  3. Sleeve cuffs: The sleeve cuffs have some pose fitting morphs (Main channels allocated in the “BODY” part) to fix any poke through in extreme hand posing. These morphs can be used for dramatic renders to emulate wind forces too.
  4. DAZ|STudio users important reminder: Non-Standart bodyparts don´t autocomform, so the user needs to fit them manually in the non-standart pars dials.
  5. There´re MAT poses to hide-unhide the shouder pads, if your pose is very extreme, a good way to don´t have a nightmarish posing process is to hide the pads.

1.2 Morph List and uses:

  1. Full Body Morphs: Muscular 1 to 3, Stocky and Tone.
  2. Hand Cuff room morphs for extreme hand posing:
    1. RHandRoomBttm
    2. LHandRoomBttm
    3. LHandRoomBk
    4. RHandRoomBk
    5. LHandRoomFwd
    6. RHandRoomFwd
  3. Armor Pad room morphs for extreme collar posing, with and without cloak:
    1. RPadRoomFwd
    2. RPadRoomBk
    3. LPadRoomFwd
    4. LPadRoomBk
    5. DrapeArmDown
  4. Armor Pad style morphs:
    1. PadStyle2
    2. PadStyle1

2. Cloak

2.1 Use Tips:

  1. Bodyhandles: Use always the dials to deal with bodyhandles, the results are always much more accurate and sooft than with direct manipulation. I Strongly encourage final user to uncheck Poser “Use Limits” option when dealing with bodyhandles.

2.2 Morph list and uses:

  • Full Body Morphs: Muscular 1 to 3, Stocky and Tone.
  • ShealthsFit: It separates the cloak of M3 body itn default pose.
  • Hood Morphs:
    • HoodFaceCover
    • HoodHeight
    • HoodDepth
    • HoodWide
    • HoodDown

3. Pants:

3.1 Morph list and uses:

  1. Full Body Morphs: Muscular 1 to 3, Stocky and Tone.
  2. CrotchRoom: To fix poke through in extreme leg open.

4. Scarf:

4.1 Morph List and uses:

  1. Full Body Morphs: Muscular 1 to 3, Stocky and Tone.
  2. Room morphs: (thought to it the scarf to practically any m3 face morphs.
    1. NoseRoom
    2. FaceRoom
  3. ScarfDown (style morph, encouraged values, 1.0 and 0.5

5. Shealths:

5.1 Use Tips:

  1. I strongly encourage to use palette deals to pose the shealths, it gives much more control in the posing porcess, and don´t allows the objects to fly arround and deform badly.
  2. DAZ|STudio users important reminder: Non-Standart bodyparts don´t autocomform, so the user needs to fit them manually in the non-standart pars dials.
  3. Caution for morph creators using software such as pMorphTools (available at DAZ): The base Cr2 includes 2 smart props for the swords by default. It is necessary to delete these props and re-save a new cr2 to correctly use this kind of software.

5.2 Morph list and uses:

  1. Full Body Morphs: Stocky. The rest of FBMs aren´t needed, the shealths demeanor is perfect by default in all top FBM´s except Stocky, so the FBM is included.

6. Hair Ribbon:

6.1 Morph List and Uses:

  1. Short
  2. Long
  3. WindBk
  4. WindL
  5. WindR

7. Boots:

7.1 Morph List and Uses:

  1. Full Body Morphs: Muscular 1 to 3, Stocky and Tone.

8. Bracers:

8.1 Morph List and Uses:

  1. Full Body Morphs: Muscular 1 to 3, Stocky and Tone.

III.- Rendering Tips:

  1. Poser 5/6 users: do your final render ALWAYS in Firefly. P4 renderer is cool to see how your image looks during yout workflow, but it´s a really old rendering engine, and compaired with Firefly, the results are very poor.
  2. For compatibility purposes, I´ve not included Poser 6 special shading features. If you´re using poser, you can add ambient occlussion and some other cool features to your renders, increasing dramatically the render times, but increasing the overall quality of the render dramatically too.
  3. It´s common to use commercial poses to do renders. Sometimes, that poses are used by the entire community, so modifiying that pose simply a bit (moving the abdomen, arms or legs, may modify that pose enoufgh to do it different and cool.
  4. Fly arround with the camera, modify the camera values, play with it until you get an interesting view of your work.
  5. Lightning is vital to get nice results in your renders, as important as a dinamic pose or a dramatic camera point of view. I use to play with lights for a while until I get a satisfactory result.
  6. Use always at least 3 sources of light, one placed in front of the figure, but slightly moved to right or left, a counter light placed exactly in the opposite side of the figure (in the back), and a third source ti attenuate strong shadows.
  7. All the cloths in this set includes the Velvet special Poser 5/6 shader, allowing interesting and realistic counter lights. I encourage to use a strong back light (white, with an intensity between 100 and 150%). It will create a nice contour to the figure.
  8. There´re a lot of commercial scripts and plugins, both for Poser and DAZ|Studio that can help you to get professional results in your renders, here I mention only some of them: pwSurface for DAZ|Studio, Glowworm for Poser 6 (Both available at DAZ), Occlusion Master and Hiperreal for M3 (Both available at Renderosity).

Note to P4 users:
Poser 4 users will need to convert several bump maps from .jpg files to use the P4 files properly. These Bump Map files are:

:Luthbel:M3WL:M3WLRBoot_BUM.jpg
:Luthbel:M3WL:M3WLRBrcr_BUM.jpg
:Luthbel:M3WL:M3WLRClk_BUM.jpg
:Luthbel:M3WL:M3WLRDrp_BUM.jpg
:Luthbel:M3WL:M3WLRPnts_BUM.jpg
:Luthbel:M3WL:M3WLRTop1_BUM.jpg
:Luthbel:M3WL:M3WLRTop2_BUM.jpg
:Luthbel:M3WL:M3WLSwrd_BUM.jpg
Please see Bump Map Conversion Help for more instructions on converting Bump Files.
In all cases, “P4” will refer to Poser 4 and “PP” will refer to Pro Pak.
