Product Notes

* FEATURES: The Wild Dreads are very versatile with several fitting and movement morphs, multiple color options, and a selection of accessories that can be turned on or off via MAT files.The Wild Dreads fit the following DAZ figures: Victoria4(default), Victoria3, Michael3, David, Stephanie3Petite, Aiko, Aiko Realistic, Hiro, and Hiro Realistic. In additon to the fit morphs, there are 47 movement morphs organized by catagory to be more accessible.
* USAGE INSTRUCTIONS: The Wild Dreads are very resource intensive. The mesh detail and multiple embedded morphs can make it slow to load.
- Load your supported figure into the library
- Open the Hair library and navigate to the Wild Dreads folder
- Select the Wild Dreads and click the “Apply Library Preset” checkmark to load it into your scene
- Go to the Fit Morphs catagory and dial the fit morph for the character you're using to 1
- If you're fitting the hair to V4, you don't need to use any of the fitting morphs, however, due to V4's neck/head jointing there is a morph in the Adjustments catagory called “ScalpBendFix” to fix the scalp when her head is bent forward.APPLYING THE MAT POSESThe MAT poses for Wild Dreads are set into 4 categories, each with a different prefix.
* ! these poses are “full” MATs and apply/change textures to both the hair and the accessories
* A these poses are “partial” MATs and apply/change textures for only the accessories
* H these poses are “partial” MATs and apply/change textures for only the hair
* U these poses are “utility” poses used to hide pieces/parts of the accessories DISPLACEMENT MAPS/RENDERING The Wild Dreads take huge advantage of displacement maps to give them their realistic “feel”. Be sure that when you are rendering you have checked the use displacement maps option in your settings. (The displacement maps for the dreads when using the accessories have been sligtly “reduced” to avoid as much poke through of the hair as possible without taking away from the effect of the displacement on the dreads.)

Resolved Issues

My Mac download didn't install 2 of the displacement maps, the displace_skull and displace_DD. I'm re-downloading in the hopes that it has been updated with the missing files. It's a shame. It looked really good in the scene, but if I can't get the displacement maps, it won't work. Argh. –Re-downloading and re-installing all 3 finally got it to work.
