Product Notes

* There are three body handles in the conforming dress to help fitting the skirt part to various poses: the Skirt, Right and Left handles. You can move them front-back, side-side and twist for better fits.
* Due to the nature of the dynamic dress, extreme poses are not recommended as the fabric will fold dramatically (just as in real life, you do not sit with your knees up or stand with your legs way apart in a dress like this because it might slide up or aside and be unpretty.
* Here is a short tutorial on how to use the dress in Poser 6 cloth room:
* 1. Load Victoria 4 and the dress into the scene and parent the dress to Victoria 4's hip.
* 2. Set the length of the animation (about 10-15 frames) in the timeline on the bottom of the page.
* 3. Go to the last frame and pose Victoria 4 the way you want.
* 4. On the first frame, zero Victoria 4 pose.
* 5. Choose the dress and go to the Cloth Room
* 6. Start New Simulation and change the End Frame number to the amount of frames you have chosen for the animation (10-15). Do not choose any other option. Click Ok.
* 7. Click “Clotify” and choose the object to clotify. If you have chosen the dress before that it will show you the following: “Object to Clotify: hotDress”. If not, click the little black triangle and choose the dress from the props. Click OK.
* 8. Click “Collide Against”. Add Victoria 4 by choosing her in the Add/Remove section. Let the whole of her be chosen. Make sure that no hair or any props are chosen too, it will slow the simulation down and in most cases break it completely as most hair will intersect with the dress in the first frame. Set Collision offset and Collision depth to 0.5 and check Ignore Head, Hands and Feet if you do not want the dress to interact with these parts. You can uncheck “Start Draping from Zero Pose” as the dress does not require draping. You can also uncheck the Forearms and Shoulders from the collision.
* 9. The dress has three groups in the way of responding to calculations: the Top group (covers her chest and top of abdomen), the Skirt group (it will be mostly affected by the calculations) and the Straps_Top group (the very top of the dress straps that can be both added to calculation or constrained from it).The Constrained Group is the part of the dress that will move with Victoria 4 and not respond to gravity or other forces in the calculation. We need the chest part of the dress to stay in place, as the dress is already pretty risky one and Victoria 4 would surely like her private parts to be covered at least to some degree. This is why the Constrained Group already has the Top part in itself. You can add the Straps_Top part into the constrained group too.
* 10. [optional] Choose Outline in the Document Display Style if you have slower PC, it will probably make the calculation faster.
* 11. Calculate the simulation.
* If you do not like the way the dress folds, play with the Dynamic Controls. I usually use Fold Resistance at 20 (instead of 5) to simulate thicker fabrics, like leather, and lower the Static Friction to about 0.1 so that the fabric does slide easier agains the model and creates less rough folds. You can also choose Cloth Self Collision in the Simulation settings to prevent the cloth to go into itself. In most cases it is not necessary.
* If you decide to change something in the settings after the simulation was run once, don't forget to Clear Simulation, it will force Poser to accept the new settings.
* You can easily change the pose and recalculate simulation if you go to the last frame and change the pose to something different. Always leave the first frame untouched and make sure the dress does not intersect with the figure in it!
* About the MATs:
* You can easily change the leather and lace texture colors in the Poser6 Matroom:
* 1. Apply Leather_White or Lace MATs to the dress
* 2. In the Material room change the Diffuse color to the color you want.
* It can work to some degree with the Pink texture too as it is pretty light.
