You can find new icons for loading this product in the following DAZ|Studio folders:

Product Notes

  • Make sure that you have the Millennium Environment_Tall installed–this is a free update you can get by redownloading the Millennium Environment base pack.
  • Load the scene place your props and render - please note the set has no ground texture - space has no ground! If you want to make your background fit your mesh, simply scale the terrainwalls & body to your desired size. They are set to a large scale to begin with in the preloads.
  • If you want to change your scene - just head to the Material Presets folder
  • Note: I have disabled the Clouds and weather layer so DAZ|Studio won't render what it doesn't need to. For the overlay files, please do the following:
  • Load your chosen nebula
  • Load the overlay texture
  • Click Weather/Clouds ON in the Heart of Space2 folder
  • Render :-)
  • The starplates beginning with ST1 in your texture folder (DAZ/Environment/HeartofSpace2/st1*) are seamless, so you can mix and match
  • DON'T use the Stars1/ Stars1 overlay plates with Epsilon Moyrianii - it will give you a ghastly double effect because it's the plate I rendered the nebula on - use the ones starting with ST 2 instead
  • DON'T use the Stars2/ Stars2 overlay plates with Tau Chana - it will give you a ghastly double effect because it's the plate I rendered the nebula on - use the ones called ST1 1instead
  • The starplates starting with ST3 in your texture folder, and named Heart of Space1 in your MAT folder, are the original plates from HoS1 - they're provided as an update, and will load on the hindmost layer in the Mill_Env - the SKY layer. If you don't see it on load, turn off clouds/weather and set the scenery transparency to 100. You can mix and match these plates with the other plates :-)
  • Mix and match with the planets and asteroids you found in The Heart of Space 1
  • Some of you may wonder why the stars aren't as dense as you see in a NASA image. I've done this for two reasons - first of all - the Mill_env is a background set - it'd take a lot of attention away from your front image if it was totally starfilled. Secondly, there are three separate star layers you can mix and match, making it as dense or sparse as you want. The presets are starter-positions, nothing else :-)

Note for DAZ Studio users:

  • Move the lights in the light folder up to about 900 or higher on the Y-Axis if you used the preload set
  • If your image is 600 x 900 - set the main camera's Z-axis to around 3200 if you used the preload set.

About the Bonus Resources in your texture folder:

  • Contains 3 reflection maps, one for each nebula (these should be applied manually if you wish to use them)
  • Contains 3 2D images of the nebula for generic 2D background renders - the images are 1140 x 320 - this due to the size they were originally rendered in, 11400 x 3200
  • And finally… a note from the artist: This set is NOT a merchant resource, and may not be resold as part of a commercial background set or be redistributed as image brushes.
