Store Product Page: Dark Matter For V4/A4
ArtZone Group: Damage Inc
Dark Matter is a beautiful fantasy character, for V4.2 and Aiko 4… and a perfect dark companion set to Stardust. Like Stardust, she has special effects on her skin, which consist of plasmatic strands - only instead of adding light to make it more prevalent (as with the glitter in Stardust) taking the light away makes it more prominent with Dark Matter, as if it were glowing in the dark. She also includes lots of makeup options, eye colors, and last but not least, lights, to set off the glow in the dark effects.
This set, is the second in a series. Other sets in this series include:
Character for Victoria 4 and Aiko 4
10 Makeup Options, 5 Natural and 5 Fantasy Style
6 Eye Colors, and Other Eye Options
10 Lights For Poser (.LT2)
DAZ Studio Compatible Files (.DS)
..:: LOADING CHARACTER AND MATS ::..
To use morphs, you must own both Victoria 4 and Morphs ++ and Aiko 4 and her morphs as well. Load your Aiko 4 figure into the scene. Browse in your Pose Library to “Dark Matter” and there you will find all the pz2's to load and remove the morphs. The injections and removes are done in such a way that you do not need to load V4 and A4's morphs first – just select Aiko in your scene, and click the inj and voila! Please also note, this set contains a partial custom head morph, and the pack includes deltas for it. Do not delete these deltas, as her morph cannot work without them.
To use the mats, which come after the morph options, simply click on Aiko 4 in your scene, and then load each one as you choose. To load the natural skin, you must use the !SkinNatural-All.pz2 first, to load everything at once. The plasma effects for the skin are separated for convenience, so you can opt to use it or not. To load the plasma effect, you must use !SkinPlasma-All.pz2, to first load all, then choose the makeup accordingly.
The eyes will load with both apply all mats, with a reflection on it as well. To change the eyes, click on each, and be sure to choose the reflection as well. Should you wish to omit the eye reflection, simply use the reflection off option. There are also options to turn the tears off and on as well. These load the same as everything else.
Makeups, 10 in all, have both natural and fantasy elements to them. But like the skin, you must choose the proper ones to use. If you've opted for the plasma, you must use the makeups with the prefix MFP or MNP (the P stands for Plasma) If you've chosen the normal skin, then you must use the other makeups without the plasma. You can add the plasma effects to the head or body only, since no seams will occur.
..:: LOADING LIGHTS ::..
I developed lights to go with her, as a special add in, which are designed to enhance the glow in the dark effects, as well as the shaders in the mats, so that you get beautiful results. I have also included a dark and light version of each light in the set. To load them, you must go to your light library, and browse to “Dark Matter” Each one is thumbed exactly as it will render.
This set is fully compatible with DAZ Studio. It includes files specially designed by Elliandra for DS, and the glow in the dark effects have been translated to work in DS as well. You will find in this set not only regular mats for DS, but shaded mats as well, which require the Elite Human Surface Shader. Please keep in mind, this set does not require you to own the EHSS – only the extra shaded mats do and they are optional. The regular mats included have the same “glow in the dark effects”, we just decided to toss in the extra HSS mats as a nice little bonus. Finally, the light sets have been finely tuned and resaved as DS lights.
To locate the regular DS compatible files, you will find the mats in the same directory as the Poser files (Runtime:Libraries:Pose:DarkMatter) The DS HSS mats and lights for DS need to be downloaded separately in your account, by selecting the DS installer - they will unpack into a new folder made for DAZ Studio
The plasmatic glow in the dark strands use Translucence to acheive the effect. It loads as a golden color by default, but you can change the color of the Translucence if you wish. Doing so will cause the effects to glow with whatever color you change it to. To change it, simply go to your material room, click on each body part and on “Translucence Color” pick the color you want.
The thumbnails for the pose and light files are the standard 91×91 resolution, so that they will show properly in DAZ Studio. If you are a poser 5 or higher user and prefer the larger thumbnails (which are 100×125 in size), you can download them here: Dark Matter Thumbs
Bigger thumbnails will NOT work in DAZ Studio, nor lower versions of Poser, so only download these if your using Poser 5 and higher.
Instructions to install larger thumbnails:
These are set up to the same exact locations as the original sets thumbnails. To install, simply unzip it to your Poser Runtime, and overwrite the old thumbnails.
