Rotors

The Rotors give you some clever options. In DAZ Studio, select the Steam Flying Machine 2 and expand the hierarchy. You can select any item in the scene in the Scene Tab (VIEW –> Tabs –> Scene). Browse down and select mainRotor. Expand them and you'll see two more options below, mainblades and mainBlSpin. We'll look at what you can do with all three.

With mainRotor highlighted, now look at the Parameters Tab (VIEW –> Tabs –> Parameters). Look under General and find the Rotation Spin dial. You can use this dial to cause the blades to rotate. Play with it. It's fun.

Now highlight mainBlades just below it on the Scene tab. Look at the Parameters again and you'll find an 'OnOff' dial. This dial retracts and extends the blades. Pretty nifty.

Now highlight mainBlSpin. Look at the Parameters Tab. You'll see another dial. This dial enlarges and reduces a blurry blade effect. You can use this to create the blurry effect of rotors turning in still renders. Neat, isn't it?
Browse in the Scene tab to tail and tailRotor to find some cool things you can do with the tail rotor blads.
