Textures and material poses for the Michael 4 genitalia figure are included.
Notes from the artist:
You can find new icons for loading this product in the following Poser Libraries:
Pose: “Julian M4”
Material Presets for DAZ Studio and Poser now Consolidated
DAZ Studio Users:
You will no longer need to go to a separate DAZ Studio folder to apply the DAZ Studio Material Presets. Simply apply the MAT Pose from the Poser Julian M4→ POSE directory .
There is no longer a separate DAZ Studio installer for the DAZ Studio Presets.
It is recommended that you do not delete the .DS files from within the product's MAT Pose directory. They will not show up as extra files within Poser, but are required to use the product with DAZ Studio 2.0.
Important: always load the “Julian Full MAT” pose before all other material poses!
Julian's materials and morphs use Michael 4's Eyebrow bodypart with transparency maps.
Important: make sure you use the included “Eyebrows VISIBLE” pose.
If the shadows give unwanted results, uncheck “Cast Shadows” in the Eyebrow bodypart parameters
If you're using reflections (mirrors), make sure “Visible in Raytracing” is activated, in the Eyebrow bodypart parameters
If you don't want to use transmapped eyebrows:
Paste one the 4 included eyebrows in .PNG format on the Julianface.jpg texture.
Make the Eyebrow bodypart invisible using the included pose file.
Uncheck the “Cast shadows” and “Visible in Raytracing” options in the EyeBrow bodypart parameters.
You will find the eyebrows and tattoos in .PNG format in this folder: “textures/Balaenanun/BalaJulianM4”
Transparency maps for the tattoos are also included. You can use them to create special shader effects in Poser or Layered Image Editor for DAZ Studio.
Important: the transparencies in the eyes, eyebrows and genitals materials may look strange in your program's preview window, but they will render correctly.
There are two sets of materials:
The .PZ2 materials in the “libraries/Pose/Julian M4/Poser AO MAT” use Ambient Occlusion.
They will work in Poser 6 and Poser 7.
AO creates soft realistic shadows on the skin.
It makes the render times longer.
AO requires at least one active IBL light (Image Based Lighting) in the scene.
Make sure to disable the AO in the light preferences panel, otherwise it would double with the materials' AO.
The color options (eyebrows, eyes, eyelashes colors) don't use AO, to avoid problems with shadows and because the eyes have an ambient map.
The .PZ2 and .DS materials in the “libraries/Pose/Julian M4/MAT” don't use Ambient Occlusion.
Choose these materials in DAZ Studio, Poser 5 or if you don't use an IBL light.
The non-AO icons load a matching preset in DAZ Studio automatically.
You will find Julian's head and body morphs, and utility poses, in the “libraries/Poser/Julian M4” folder. If you want to close your character's eyes when using Julian's face injection:
Dial the Eyes Closed morph, then apply the “Closed Eyes FIX” pose (it resets Julian's morphs in the eyes)
The “Closed Eyes UNDO” reinjects Julian's morphs in the eyes
This is necessary because of Julian's special eye shape
If you dial the “Angry” expression morph from the Morphs at a high value, you will notice that the eyebrows sink into the forehead. To fix this, try to dial the BrowDepth morph from the Morphs Upper face category.
Julian's face injection loads morphs from the Morphs package along with 2 custom morphs:
Do not set these morphs to 0 unless:
You don't use the transmapped eyebrows
You don't want to use Julian's custom Human Ears
Do not delete nor move the files in this folder: “libraries/Morphs/Balaenanun/Julian M4”. They contain the necessary information for the custom morphs to work.
Julian's Elf Ears pose removes the Human Ears pose, and vice versa.
