Product Information

The Kingdom of Marrakesh - not just an amazing city, but a symbol of the Morocco that once was as, which echoes on even to this day. It's strong geometrical designs, both in shape and texture, offer a rich and vibrant backdrop that spans the ages and the test of time.

Included in this pack is a detailed courtyard, ornate ablution fountain, arched corridors and a complete interior. Each item is modular, giving the option to create a full high resolution 360° courtyard, or break the scene down into a just a single component. Wall sections offer removable panels, doors are fully articulated, as well as including a low resolution version of both windows and doors for when the finer details are not needed.

Also included is a bespoke 25-camera bundle from Joelegecko, of the Directors Cut series of products, to fully exploit the detail that this set contains. There is also an additional light pack accompanying this release by Dreamlight, so be sure to check that out for some amazing night time scenes.

Quickstart Guide

In the Runtime/Figures/K_of_Mar folder load one of the!Pre cr2 files to preload the building section of choice. If you wish to add the complete set, load all of the !Pre_* files. Any additional elements can be added by loading their respective cr2 file.

Detailed Instructions

The Kingdom of Marrakesh is made up of separate sections, which when loaded up will create a full 360° courtyard, with buildings (complete with interior) at either end.

Breakdown and explanation of preload cr2's:

Pre_ABF:

This is the center structure loaded with the fountain loaded, and the center base of the structure hidden (which the fountain sits in).

Pre_Ent_N:

This is the north entrance, loaded with corridors and caps either side. By default, the corridor wall caps are visible.

Pre_Ent_S:

As above, but to the south.

!Pre_Floor:

This is the floor section.

!Pre_PR_High_N:

This is the high resolution building to the north, with interior, windows and doors in position as well. The high resolution version offers fully detailed windows, and articulating doors with the low resolution very offering more basic geometry which is ideal for use where they are not really needed.

!Pre_PR_High_S:

As above, but to the south.

!Pre_PR_Low_N:

The same as the PR_High_N, but this time has the low resolution windows and doors.

!Pre_PR_Low_S:

As above, but to the south.

!Pre_SW_L:

This is the left hand side walls to the square, comprising of a single cap and two corridors. Note that the cap can feature a dedicated texture map to differentiate it from the others used in the set.

!Pre_PR_R:

As above, but to the right.

Each sections each have their own figure groups to maximise versatility. Corridor and Cap sections offers individual removable walls panels to allow the arches and door ways to be enclosed, open, or a mixture of both. The interior doors are fully articulated also, allowing each to opened individually, or removed completely.

Camera Presets:

Included in this set are 25 camera presets (in both Poser and D|S formats) kindly created by Joelegecko (of the Directors Cut series of expansion packs). These can be found in the Runtime/Cameras/K_of_Mar folder for Poser, or Content\Cameras\K_of_Mar folder for D|S. Be sure to check out the products he has in the DAZ3D store!

Light Presets:

Included in this set is a sole light preset. There is a light pack available from Dreamlight which has been designed specifically for this set.

Materials:

In addition to the Poser defaults, there are D|S specific MAT files included in the content\Environments\Architecture\K_of_Mar directory.

Notes:

Unless otherwise stated, the promos were created in D|S 2.3 using Light Dome PRO, UberEnvironment and Mood Master. Those not created in D|S were created using Lightwave 9.5.

This product is a texture addon pack and as a result requires the Kingdom of Marrakesh product to work.

It functions in the exactly the same way as the original, with cr2's included as well as preload files and D|S specific materials. These new cr2 files can be found in the Runtime/Figures/K_of_Mar_OC folder.

Product Information

Jewel of the South is an addon pack for the Kingdom of Marrakesh. Adding a number of props that enhance the set and supports both the original Kingdom of Marrakesh pack as well as the Ochre City texture addon.

Included in this pack are a set of 4 plant pots (Preset for use with Lisa's Botanicals - Palm Trees and Lisa's Botanicals - Tropicals), ornate raised seating platform, wall lights, additional ground plane for the rear of the set, an authentic ceiling light as well as a set of rugs. As mentioned earlier, all of these come with two texture maps.

Each prop comes with a preload preset, as well as zero'd cr2's for maximum versatility. Additionally is a set of Poser-specific interior and exterior light sets, as well as a set of Poser camera presets.

Please note this set requires the Kingdom of Marrakesh, Lisa's Botanicals - Palm Trees and Lisa's Botanicals - Tropicals. Ochre City is not required unless you wish to use the additional textures provided in the pack.

Alternative plants and foliage can be used, but will require setting up manually.

Quickstart Guide

This expansion addon pack contains additional props to enhance the look of the Kingdom of Marrakesh. These props contain two texture packs, for use either with the original Kingdom of Marrakesh or Ochre City texture addon pack.

The files are situated in the K_of_Mar_Exp_1 and K_of_Mar_OC_Exp_1 folders respectively.

To use the set, load up the existing Marrakesh sections of your choice, then add in the new elements via the cr2's in the Runtime/Figures/K_of_Mar_Exp_1 or Runtime/Figures/K_of_Mar_Exp_OC_1folders. Preloads include grouped sets of plants/trees, as well as individual zero'd cr2's to allow customization.

Detailed Instructions

Breakdown and explanation of preload cr2's:

!Pre_PL_Pot

This loads two plant pots at the entrance with tropical plants.

!Pre_PL_Small

This loads two small plant pots at the rear of the interior with tropical plants.

!Pre_PL_Tree_1

This loads 3 tree planters at the top left area of the grounds with palm trees.

!Pre_PL_Tree_2

As above, but to the top right.

!Pre_PL_Tree_3

As above, but to the bottom left.

!Pre_PL_Tree_4

As above, but to the bottom right.

!Pre_PL_Tree_5

This loads 3 tree planters to the left side of the top building with palm trees.

!Pre_PL_Tree_6

Included in this set are 6 Poser camera presets. These can be found in the Runtime/Cameras/K_of_Mar_Exp1 folder for Poser.

Included in this set are 3 Poser light presets. This includes both interior and exterior types.

Materials:

Included are Poser and D|S specific MAT files for both styles of textures. For Poser, they are located in the Runtime/Materials/K_of_Mar_Exp1 and Runtime/Materials/K_of_Mar_OC_Exp1 folders. For D|S, they are located in the Content\Environments\Architecture\K_of_Mar_Exp1 and Content\Environments\Architecture\K_of_Mar_OC_Exp1 folders.

Notes:

Product Information

Marrakesh Souks - A backdrop to a vibrant melting pot of cultures, languages, shops and stalls. This versatile exterior pack includes everything you need including structural parts: walls, ground, arch and doorways (4 styles). Detailing includes fully articulated doors, windows, Wall lights, sun screen and 3 styles of awnings. All of these are feature both preload and individial cr2 presets for maximum versatility.

Also included are bonus preload presets for owners of Lisa's Botanicals - Tropicals and Jewel of the South (Kingdom of Marrakesh) expansion packs. These load in potted palm bushes that you can see in the promo images. They are a nice addition but not a strict requirement to use the rest of the set.

Additonal bonus items include a P6 enviroment lightset, a D|S light preset for the wall lights, 5 Poser camera presets as well as D|S and Poser 6 MAT files.

Quickstart Guide

In the Runtime/Figures/Mar_Souks folder load one !Pre_All cr2 files to preload the complete Souk. Any additional elements can be added by loading their respective cr2 file.

The files are situated in the Mar_Souks folder of each respective Poser Runtime/D|S Content areas.

Detailed Instructions

The Marrakesh Souk is made up of separate sections, which when loaded up will create an enclosed street made up of 2 wall sections, an arch, ground, 8 doorways wall lights and 2 sun screens.

Breakdown and explanation of preload cr2's:

!Pre_All

This loads up the complete street section. You can then extend the street by loading up another and placing it behind the archway. Alternatively, this can be done in postwork.

!Pre_Wall_1

This loads in the complete left hand wall section.

!Pre_Wall_2

As above, but the right hand wall section. Note how the door ways are in different locations, these can be customized further if required using the separate wall, and gate presets below.

S_Arch

This loads the arch section only.

S_Arch_Tile

This loads in the tiled roof section for the arch.

S_Awning_1

This loads in the first awning style for the shop front.

S_Awning_2

As above, but the second awning style.

S_Awning_3

As above, but the third awning style.

S_Gate_1

This loads in the first gate style for the shop front, with the doors preload and parented to it. Each gate style has its own texture map too, as well as matching textures for the door.

S_Gate_2

As above, but the second gate style.

S_Gate_3

As above, but the third gate style.

S_Gate_4

As above, but the fourth gate style.

S_Gate_Doors

This loads the doors only with a default texture. Additional textures can be applied for each gate style by using either the P6 or D|S MAT's located in Runtime/Libraries/Materials/Mar_Souks or Content/Environments/Architecture/Mar_Souks

S_Ground

This loads in the ground section.

S_Int

This loads in the low resolution interior sections for both the lower and upper shop interior.

S_Pot_1

This preload loads up both the plant pots from Jewel of the South and palm bushes from Lisa's Botanicals - Tropicals packs.

S_Pot_2

As above, but in a different location.

S_Pot_3

As above, but in a different location.

S_Pot_4

As above, but in a different location.

S_Screen

This loads the sun screen.

S_Upper_Win

This loads one of the individual upper windows for the wall section.

S_Wall

Included in this set are 5 Poser camera presets. These can be found in the Runtime/Cameras/MAr_Souks folder for Poser.

Light Presets:

Included in this set are a Poser environment light preset located in the Runtime/Lights/Mar_Souks folder and D|S wall light preset (saved as a scene file) located in Content/Environments/Architecture/Mar_Souks.

Materials:

* To use this light set, you need Redhouse Studios Kingdom Of Marrakesh, found at www.daz3d.com.
* After installing, the light set can be found in your Content Tab, under (s)Studio, Dreamlight and K of Mar Light Set.
* To load the light set, you can choose between 4 presets (!Preload A-D) or several icons controlling invdividual parts of the light set.
* Each icon shows the top view of the prop and where the lights will load. When you combine several icons, be sure to load the MAIN lighting first. This is to be able to use the Open GL preview feature in DAZ Studio. If you load other icons, you might end up in a very dark looking scene during design time.
* All the presets (!Preload A-D) feature main lights, ambient lights, sky backdrop as well as several other lights as indicated by the icons.
* As an option, you can load the ground fog.
* To customize the light set, you can delete the parts you don´t want to use in the Scene Tab and simply double click on any other icons to add more lighting where you need it.


* The promo images on www.daz3d.com feature a glow effect achieved in Photoshop. This can be added in most 2D packages that enable the use of layers. To get the glow effect in Photoshop:
- Load your render in Photoshop
- Adjust contrast to 17
- Duplicate the layer and select the copy
- Adjust the contrast of that new layer to 60 and brightness to -30.
- Add Gussian Blur at around 10-15 pixels (depending on the size of your render)
- Select Screen Blending mode
