Additional Details

  • Danaides
  • Poser Quickstart:
    • In the RuntimeLibrariesFiguresDanaides folder load the !Pre_All cr2 file to preload the completed scene (without any ivy). If you wish to add Ivy, please add them to taste via their respective cr2.
    • Any additional elements can be added by loading their respective cr2 file with the 'DAN_' prefix.
  • DS Quickstart:
    • In the ContentEnvironmentArchitectureDanaidesScenes folder load the !Pre_All .daz/.duf file to preload the section of choice. Any additional elements can be added by loading their respective .daz/.duf file with the 'DAN_' prefix. As above, if you wish to add Ivy please add them via their respective .daz/.duf file.
  • Detailed Instructions:
    • Danaides is made up of separate individual sections, which when loaded up will create a full 360° interior area. Also included are 7 ivy sections you can add as you wish. The ivy can also be rotated around the y-axis (in 90° increments) to mirror and adjust the placement of them.
    • These sections may be customized via individual group parts, or further still via the material settings.
  • Materials:
    • n addition to the Poser specific materials (.mc6 and .pz2) there are D|S 3+ and DS4 specific materials (.dsa and .duf) files included . Poser 6 materials reside in the RuntimeLibrariesMaterialsDanaides folder, P5 in the RuntimeLibrariesPoseDanaides folder and DS materials in the ContentEnvironmentArchitectureDanaidesMaterials folder.
    • There is an DS ubershader for the water included by default - but be warned that it is slow to render, though the results are worth it.
  • Lights:
    • The product includes a DS3 and DS4.5 light set, which is broken into 3 parts. The UE provides a slight ambient light to fill in the shadows, center area lights to provide the main lighting, and 4 outer area lights to just provide some fill around the gate/back arch sections.
  • Notes:
    • All promos were created in DAZ Studio 4.5 using the light set included. Postwork was added using Adobe Photoshop CS6.
    • DAZ Studio 3 is really slow rendering the set and the default lighting. If possible, use 4.5 and higher or try lowering the shadow settings - or just go and make a cup of tea.
    • The set is designed to be dark and moody. If you want to lighten it up, simply increase the intensity of the UE and center light settings or just adjust in postwork.
