Product Information

Mount up and ride to glory!

Cavalry Combat for Michael 6 is a troop of mounted warriors brandishing a variety of weapons. Included are 95 total poses for Archers, Lancers, Swordsmen, Musketeers, and Pistoleros.

Each of the 16 scene ensembles is comprised of 4 poses for the Rider, DAZ Horse 2, the Western Saddle and Bridle. Each ensemble is custom posed to fit the action. There are 5 rider & 5 horse poses for Bareback Warriors, for use as primitive opponents. All 21 horse poses are different.

Included are 21 partial seating poses for each rider, allowing modifications of the actions. Hand poses are set to accept a variety of weapons.

This set is oriented so that my other DAZ Horse 2 poses can be integrated into these actions. These cavalrymen can be pitted against one another.

Included is a Colt Frontier revolver. The .45 six-shooter is provided free by Questor.

Since Man domesticated the Horse in the southern Russian steppes way back in the stone-age the mounted warrior reigned supreme for thousands of years.

And the fight is not over yet!

Additional Details

  • 1. Riders were posed barefoot with allowance for adding a variety of boot types. Adjustments may be required depending on the boot type used. Tweaking the stirrup is the place to start.
  • 2. The quickest way to set up an ensemble is to pose the horse first, then the rider, bridle, and saddle.
  • 3. The Colt .45 is a right-hand smart prop. It is provided free by Questor. It will snap into position wherever the shooter is located. Select the rider, apply the gun.
  • 4. The most efficient way to compose scenes with multiple riders is to make the Horse Actor the Parent of the Rider Actor. The horse carries the rider. Move and Rotate the horses into different positions.
    • By this method you can also reapply different poses to the horse and rider and they will stay in their new positions.
    • For example, if a sword pose set is applied and combined, then moved, you can apply a lancer pose set to it and it will remain in the altered position. Likewise, you can apply the partial poses to modify your scene. There are hundreds of possibilities.
  • 5. Right arms are posed to allow for easy swinging and bending of a weapon’s action. Hands are set to accept a variety of weapons and types. Apply the hand poses that come with most weapon props for precise fits.
  • 6. All poses are oriented with the horse going from left to right, the same orientation as my other 7 DAZ Horse 2 pose sets. Those poses can be used in this set with modifications. Adjust the y-axis of the horse pelvis as there is variance among all the horse poses. Bend the neck or head to fit the reins or adjust the bridle/reins.
