|Product Name:||Humble Homestead in the Hills|
For the more humble folk that people your worlds, this cottage and landscape pack can be a perfect place to call home.
The two stone cottages have a traditional style familiar in rural parts of Scotland and Ireland, but will also set the mood for other historical and fantasy scenes. One cottage has a white paint finish, neat chimney and thatched roof. The other has a natural stone surface and weathered roof, giving it a more rugged and neglected look. Props include a ready-made animal pen and an individual fence section, along with a rustic stool, ladder, stoneware pot, millstone, and traditional woven basket for gathering peat or heather.
Solving the problem of how to create convincing surroundings, this environment has a large, uneven ground plane to create a heath. This is surrounded by a circle of hills which create the effect of highlands or moorland. Shrubs, grass clumps, rocks and boulders decorate the landscape.
The hill backdrop allows you to seamlessly use the Humble Homestead set with any standard skydome from your collection of sky packs or other environments (Predatron's Essential Lights & Skies were used in the images you see here).
There are 24 different elements that can be loaded individually, plus a choice of 4 different preload sets. All buildings, props and terrain objects within the preload scenes can be re-positioned.
The terrain uses grass and shrub instances for quicker rendering. Please note that while the background hills are intended to form a convincing backdrop for your scenes, they are not suited to close-up work.
