What more could you ask for than a picnic table and grill? This package contains a realistic picnic table model and fire pit grille model in Carrara 5 and OBJ format. The picnic table comes with four distinct texture maps that can be combined with each other to create many color combinations. The Fire Pit Grille can be set on the table or on the ground ready for grilling those juicy steaks and hamburgers. Hey! Summer is here and it's time for a barbecue!

Not all installation packages provide files that are displayed to the user within the interface of an application. The packages listed below, do. The application(s), and the location(s) within each application, are shown below.

Additional Details

  • This realistic picnic table model comes with many different texture options, there are four different texture maps that can be mixed and matched on to different parts of the model to come up with a large variety of color combinations. There are nine different Global shaders that you can apply to the picnic table via the Shader drop down menu in the properties tray.
    • Select Picnic table in 3d window.
    • In the properties tray, beside the Shader icon click the blue drop down arrow.
    • This should reveal all the shaders in the file.
    • There are 9 different shaders you can apply to the picnic table.
  • There is also a layers list shader with different shading domains , if you click the Picnic table and go to the Texture room you should see at the bottom of the shader tree window several Basic Layer shaders for the Legs, Braces, Angled braces, bolts, etc. Each of the layers that are wood, have different wood texture maps that can mix with the global shader wood texture. You can do this by adjusting the Opacity slider as well as the Brightness of the Texture map in the Color channel of each layer shader.
  • To use the picnic table and grille in the same scene, load the picnic table using File > Open. The files are located in the Presets:Content:Mike Moir:Picnic:Objects folder. Once the table is loaded, choose File > Import and import the grille.
  • To import the OBJ files into another software program, locate the OBJ files in the Presets:Content:Mike Moir :Picnic:Models folder and import into the program. Textures are located in the Presets:Textures folder (including a mesh to use as the grill transparency), while a template for the picnic table is located in Content:Mike Moir:Picnic:Templates.
