Although the HG-1 'HOG' Short Range Gunship has hyper light capabilities, it has been found that it's primary role is patrol and interception within a system.
It's sub light speed and maneuverability, coupled with a cannon normally found on craft three times the size, has made it the most successful interceptor ever used by the systems patrol guards.
