This tutorial series is part of the Real-Time Filmmaking course, giving you the tools you need to tell cinematic stories in the Unreal Game Engine. Once you understand this workflow you can create beautiful scenes with your own Daz characters and render animated movies in real time.
Going from a blank slate to a rich and detailed environment can be a challenge! In this tutorial series I’ll take you step-by-step through the creation of an interior environment, as I build it up from assets sourced from the Epic Games Launcher.
I start with a simple “whitebox” build-out, then add assets to craft the look and feel of the scene. I show you how to modify materials to get the right visual aesthetic. Finally comes lighting, the most critical part of the process. Explore how to create realistic indoor lighting using Unreal's Lightmass engine.
This tutorial series gives you the understanding and techniques needed to craft a rich and detailed indoor environment from your imagination for your cinematic story.
