Main Menu Bar

Main Menu Bar

Description

Often shortened to simply Main Menu, the Main Menu Bar consists of several menu items, or words, that cause a menu containing various functions, or Commands, relating to that word to be displayed when the item is activated. The Main Menu Bar is anchored to the top edge of the main_window, of the application.

Activating a menu item is typically done by positioning your cursor over the item and clicking on it. Alternatively, pressing the [Alt] key on your keyboard will change the meaning of what pressing the keys on your keyboard does and allow you to use them to navigate the various menus. The arrow keys allow you to move from item to item, and the [Enter] key acts the same as if you clicked the item with your cursor.

In some cases, the words on menu items will have one of its characters underlined. This signifies that pressing the [Alt] key and then the corresponding character key on the keyboard will act as if you clicked the item with your cursor.

Below are the labels for each of the Main Menus. Follow the links here as you would navigate the Menus and Commands of the Main Menu Bar within the application, for information about what each Command does.
