<p>
Specific units are assumed when using the <abbr title="DAZ Scene Object Notation">DSON</abbr> file format. Any importer or exporter of the format must convert to and from these units from whatever internal units the application uses. Floating-point units for each of length, angle, and time are:
</p>

<li class="level1"><div class="li"> Length: centimeters</div>
</li>
<li class="level1"><div class="li"> Angle: degrees</div>
</li>
<li class="level1"><div class="li"> Time: seconds</div>
</li>
</ul>
<p>
In addition, the format assumes that all coordinate systems are right-handed and that world coordinate systems are Y-up (i.e. gravity acts in the negative-Y direction).
