This new tutorial set reviews the fundamentals of the engine and then explores new applications for dForce demonstrated by Richard Schafermeyer (rgcincy). </p> <p> This tutorial set is entitled Fantastic Voyage, invoking a sense of discovery. Richard re-creates a scene from the Fantastic Voyage movie by creating a dForce artery and blood cells. He explores the use of creating unique cave sets with dForce by using push modifiers. He&#039;ll even show you a new application for the physics engine by generating dForce terrains. </p> <p> During 3 hours and 20 minutes we look at these projects:<br/> Cave creation with stalactites <br/> Recreation of a scene from the movie Fantastic Voyage: artery and blood cells <br/> Terrain creation<br/> Breast helpers<br/> Realistic clothing: puffy sleeves and puffy trousers/pants<br/> Skin indentation<br/> Face deformation: fistfights for your characters!<br/> Blindfold and wrist constraints.<br/> </p> <p> These key principles will be taught when going through the projects above:<br/> Using objects to help shape a target mesh<br/> Changing an object(s) position during simulation to shape a mesh<br/> Changing an object(s) scale during simulation to shape a mesh<br/> Using an instance to see a hidden dForce simulation underway<br/> Using a weight map in combination with moving objects to shape a mesh<br/> Using a helper object to modify a mesh<br/> Managing interfering body parts during a simulation<br/> Using Contraction-Expansion Ratio to wrap a mesh during simulation<br/> Using Contraction-Expansion Ratio to remove or add “cloth” during a simulation<br/> </p> <p> About the presenter: Richard Schafermeyer (rgcincy) Rich Schafermeyer is a long-time 3D artist and programmer. He got his start with the original Poser and Bryce 3D. In 2001, he wrote his first 3D modeler that evolved into the still available Shape Magic. He began to use Daz Studio in 2012. With a research and engineering background, the physics of dForce grabbed his attention!
