The Occlusion brick returns the highest value (lightest shade of grey) where surfaces are “occluded” by other objects in the scene. Useful as an alpha map for adding grime in the creases of a surface, for example. This brick can also be used as part of a shader to emulate snow or dust on an upper surface of several objects in a scene, some of which occlude other objects, by supplying an Occlusion Vector.
