Product Information

Poses tell your story. But a really good camera angle takes a good pose to a higher level, elevating the tale with added drama and tension.

FF's Adventures Gone Wrong - Camera Anchor and Poses for Genesis 9 helps you, the artist achieve this goal by giving you 28 poses for Genesis 9 (20 single stance poses and 4 two-person vignette poses), 104 Camera Presets, and introduces the Camera Anchor - a new concept of combining poses with cameras that you can chose the best angle that will help you tell your story.

The basic workings of the Camera Anchor are as follows. You load in your Genesis 9 figure; pick one of the poses in this set to use (or, conversely, you can use the Camera Anchors or any of the included Camera Presets with any of your poses in your runtime); apply the pose to your Genesis 9 figure and load in the Camera Anchor associated with the pose you've chosen. The Camera Anchor will load in with 4 or 5 attached Cameras, all set up to make the pose look good and/or more dramatic. Parent your Genesis 9 figure (or figures, if using one of the two-person vignette poses) to the Camera Anchor, and use it as a handle to move both the figure(s) and the associated cameras around in your scene. Note - the Camera Anchor is visible in your scene/viewport, but it will not appear in your renders.

In addition, there is a PDF tutorial on how the Camera Anchor works, as well as some tips on using the DazStudio Cameras to help you raise the bar on your renders. As always, FeralFey poses are fact-checked for gravity, balance, and realism.

Additional Details

  • When using the Camera Anchor, remember to parent Genesis 9 to it before moving Genesis 9 around in the scene. Each Camera Anchor preset has either 4 or 5 cameras that will load, parented onto the Anchor. The Camera Anchor presets are labeled by name and on their texture so as to easily tell which of the poses it was designed to work with - but you aren't limited to using just that pose. You can certainly use any pose in your runtime with the Camera Anchor presets. Just keep in mind that some tweaking of the Cameras will be required to get optimal coverage of any pose that isn't associated with that Camera Anchor Preset.
  • The Camera Anchor is visible in your scene and viewport so that you can see where it is located to help you place it where you want the action to happen in your render. But rest assured, the Camera Anchor does not appear in your renders.
  • For additional ease of use, individual cameras were included to make up each of the Camera Anchor presets, so you can mix and match as you see fit.
  • To add in a Camera without losing any of the already established cameras in your scene, please Ctrl+Shift as you are left mouse clicking on the camera. A pop-up comes up and you need to change the setting from “Replace” to “Add”, and then click on “Accept”.
  • The included PDF tutorial covers this, as well as some additional tips to explain some of the aspects of making the most out of the Camera Anchor presets as well as using the DazStudio cameras.
  • Also please note that if you load the Camera Anchor in the scene file before you load in Genesis 9 and apply the pose, when you look through the different cameras for that Camera Anchor, it may appear as if the view is off-center and not focused on the Camera Anchor itself. This is because the focus of the Camera is meant to be Genesis 9 in its associated pose. (Some adjustments may be necessary to the cameras if you are using a Genesis 9 character that is of an extreme shape - and likely the pose will also need to be tweaked to fit the character.)
  • All poses were built on the Genesis 9 Base figure but should work without much adjustment when using the Genesis 9 Feminine or Masculine Shapes. Other character shapes may need some tweaking.
