By default, the OmniHair shader is very glossy and/or metallic looking, which can often result in unrealistic renders. Here is a collection of 28 natural color OmniHair shader presets that have been meticulously crafted to provide very realistic results! Whilst the final result will depend on the type and strength of lighting, these should perform very well in many setups. Extra options have been provided to affect the amount of shine (IOR), line width, and a prep preset so that the hair uses Iray curves for best results. Please note that the line width and prep presets will only work on strand-based hair that has line width surface settings and line tesselation properties respectively, but the color presets can still be used on legacy fibermesh hair. All of the promo images use an invisible plane hair backlight, HDRI and some also use the camera headlight.
