Easy FilaToon is a full suite designed to help you quickly turn your existing characters and scenes into Filatoon characters and scenes. Easy Filatoon can create a variety of Non-Photorealistic styles (NPR styles) such as Toon, Comic Book, Anime, and other NPR styles

Included in Easy FilaToon are scripts to convert your Genesis 9 male and female characters to Filatoon characters. These scripts quickly find and remove the Genesis 9 character's realistic eyes, mouth, and (in most cases) the attached brows, and replaces them with the Toon Eyes, Toon Mouth, and Toon Brows; it then applies the geometry shell Toon Outline, dials in the Base Anime shape at 60%, and then applies an Easy FilaToon shader preset. The Base Feminine and Base Masculine scripts easily and quickly convert your already existing Genesis 9 characters into Filatoon characters. Simply select your character and run the included Base Feminine or Base Masculine script.

But what good is a toon character with clothing and hair that looks too realistic? Easy Filatoon has you covered - Included are scripts to convert your character's clothing, hair, and other scene props (for hair, the scripts work best on poly-based hair and isn't recommended for strand-based hair). These scripts quickly add the toon geometry shell outline to whatever is selected in the scene tab (they can be applied to clothing, hair, props, etc) and applies the Easy FilaToon shader presets. Converting your characters clothing, hair, and props into to Filatoon clothing, hair, and props is a simple as selecting the hair or clothing in the scene tab and clicking the script.

Now what about the environments? The Easy FilaToon environment script is designed to be applied to environments and scene elements. This script preserves the Transparency Maps (cutout opacity maps for leaves, grass, and other foliage) that often get removed when converting to Filatoon, so that you can transform your environments into Toon environments and not have to worry about replacing transparency or cutout opacity maps.

The Easy Filatoon product includes everything you need to turn your scenes into Filatoon scenes, including cameras and lights to get consistent artistic shadows on your characters. The product features a wide variety of shader presets and filament draw options to get a variety of toon, anime, comic book, and other NPR styles and looks to your renders.

Please note:

The included Shader Presets and Scripts work best with Iray based surfaces. For the best results, please convert any 3Delight, or other surface types, to Iray surfaces before applying the included scripts or shader presets.

Processing other generation figures (figures other than Genesis 9) can take quite a bit longer than Genesis 9 figures. The Easy FilaToon scripts utilize the “FilaToon - General” preset included with Daz Studio's assets, and this preset can, and often does, take much longer to apply when applied to older generation figures. It is recommended converting other generation figures manually by adding a geometry shell to your character and applying one of the included Outline shader presets to it, bypassing the “Apply this First” script and manually applying the included shader presets.
