Product Information

Do you wish Genesis 9 had a separate lip surface like previous generations? Now they can!

Lip Service for Genesis 9 is a collection of lip geografts and materials that enables you to:

Quickly and easily add lip coloration (including lip presets that use PBRSkin shader and Makeup surface properties)

Directly apply Genesis 8/8.1, male and female material presets - separate graft for each UV so that Smart Content is also supported

Blend edges of the lip with skin using the included geometry shell wearable, with several lip liner and ombre presets available

Convert Iray Uber-based graft lip material to PBRSkin, so that the included lip presets can be used

Transfer Genesis 9 'Head' material to graft 'Lips' surface in 1-click using included script - note that this is only recommended for the Genesis 9 UV graft, as lips won't line up with Genesis 8 versions.

Additional Details

  • A collection of lip geografts for Genesis 9, enabling a separate lip surface as with older generations. Geografts replace and autohide polygons in the base mesh with new polygons, but will still follow poses, shapes and morphs as if part of the base mesh.
  • A separate graft has been created for each supported figure (Genesis 8 Female, Genesis 8 Male, Genesis 8.1 Female ,Genesis 8.1 Male and Genesis 9). This approach was taken vs all UV's on a single graft, so that all compatibility bases could be supported and therefore work with Smart Content.
  • A utility script has been included that will copy the Genesis 9 'Head' material to the 'Lips' surface of the attached lip graft. Note that this is only recommended for use with the G9 UV graft, because the 'Head' surface will be using the Genesis 9 UV. A 'Convert to PBRSkin' material preset, that can be used on the graft after using the copy script, is available in the rare case of Genesis 9 figure material using Iray Uber instead of the more recent PBRSkin shader.
  • Some lip material presets may not fully line up with the new lip boundary created by the graft. To help blend this boundary, a geometry shell wearable has been included with several liner and ombre presets. The liner presets apply to both the head and lip surfaces of the graft, whereas the ombre presets only apply to the lips. Therefore it's recommended to apply a liner preset first. You can also layer multiple shells for more effects, but remember to adjust the 'Mesh Offset' of each subsequent shell.
  • Scripts included in this product include source or derivative code from one or more of the Scripting Samples provided here:
