All across the continent, there are basements in various states of completion. Not unusable, merely unfinished. It’s a place to hang out, workout, do the laundry, fix stuff, store stuff, play games, maybe even throw a party. One things for sure, there’s plenty of space down there, and no one’s worried that the walls will get damaged.
An Unfinished Basement is a full 3D environment for Poser and DAZ Studio offering a comfortable setting for your modern day and recent history type renders. The large space offers two sets of stairs one leading up to the 1st Floor (eventually to a kitchen expansion pack) the other through the back Mud Room that rise up out back to the yard.
Detailed elements included realistic 1/2” copper plumbing pipes, 2×4 stud spruce construction, a mid efficiency furnace with associated galvanized duct work, an electric hot water tank with turn-able shutoff water valves, hinged doors on the “cold room” and at the exterior egress mud room door, double pane side slider basement windows and incandescent bulb ceiling lights.
But no basement would be complete without the classic furnishings, the set also includes an “ole” beer fridge, Granny’s old couch, a pegboard and “fir” workbench, a “yet to be installed” and connected laundry tub/sink and in the far corner an interior oil tank.
All the 2×4 interior partitions can be moved or removed into whatever configuration you need. In addition all the bridging, joists, I-beam, steel columns and foundation wall and exterior brick veneer can also be moved if necessary.
Please note: The focus of this environment is the basement. The temporary mock up of walls in the first floor area at the top of the stairs to allow rendered images either up or down the main stairs is provided as a courtesy. Eventually there will be an expansion pack of the 1st and 2nd floors of this house. The grass surround on the exterior makes it possible to render images through the windows. The Neighbour’s Yard can provide a more detailed exterior for this environment.
The hinged doors, slider windows and water valve handles are props based, meaning they function best when you set “use limits” ON in the respective applications.
