Product Information

  • Required Products: None

An Indian inspired jewelry set for Genesis 2 Female(s).

Three conforming figures (left and right armlets, and eyebrow gems), and 27 props (bindi, tikka, two nose rings, left and right earrings, three bangles with left and right, and five rings with left, right, and zero). Hand crafted morphs for all current DAZ main characters (see complete list in Features below), and all Genesis 2 Female full body “Real World” body morphs are included, along with most applicable partial body morphs in all head items and the armlets. UVs and material zones are arranged for fantastic results when using DAZ Studio shader presets or Poser MT5's.

This set also includes 17 DAZ Studio shader presets and matching Poser MT5s that you can apply to anything, along with handy MAT files just for this jewelry if you want a more click and go work flow. Most of the DAZ Studio MAT files and shader presets use Uber Surface (included free with DAZ Studio), the Poser MAT files and MT5s are custom made so you will get beautiful renders in both programs.

The head props will auto follow Genesis 2 Female's shaping morphs in Studio just like a conforming figure but still have the utility of free moving props. Poser users will need to dial these morphs as normal.

Additional Details

  • All users:
    • If the shadows around the edges of your items are cutting off abruptly lower the shadow bias of your shadow casting lights. In DAZ Studio you will find the option in the Lights tab, in Poser it is on the second page of the parameters tab when you have the light selected. Try 0.2 to start, lower as needed until the shadow is continuous around the edges.
    • Genesis 2's expression morphs are not able to be auto followed by figures or props. The bindi is easily adjusted being a free moving prop. The eyebrow gems have included morphs to adjust them as needed.
    • The head props will auto follow Genesis 2 Female's shaping morphs in Studio just like a conforming figure but still have the utility of free moving props. Poser users will need to dial these morphs as normal.
    • Note about the materials: The MAT files, shader presets, and MT5s are set up to render beautifully in the most common situation, that is an empty scene with lights and a character. If you are using a 360 degree environment (like most IDL light sets in Poser) you may notice the surfaces look overly bright, this is from the reflection of the environment sphere. You can either lower the reflection strength on all the surfaces or you can darken the diffuse and ambient colors of your environment sphere to remedy it.
    • All items work well with Sub-D smoothing if you want to render extreme close-ups. Models are medium poly density and won't need it for almost all situations.
  • Poser users:
    • You may need to turn off the object smoothing in the parameters tab if the default render time smoothing (ballooning) is causing poke-through, there is not a way that I know of to set this in DSON imported files. The only ones I saw that had some issues were the armlets, so keep an eye out for that. It was very minor, obviously the model looks smoother with it on so keep it on if you can. It will depend on your scene setup if it's noticeable. Using subdivision smoothing works well with all the items so if you need to turn off Poser's default smoothing you can use that type of smoothing instead for super close-ups.
    • The premade MAT files (MC6) are designed to apply all the settings to any item in the jewelry set, this is to avoid having a confusing folder full of 78 separate MAT files. You will get a pop-up about MAT zones not existing in the object when you use them, it was a trade off, just click okay on the box to continue. The MT5s won't cause any issue, of course.
