Product Information

Wet Body Geometry Shells is a new version of the popular Wet Body DAZ Studio LIE sets that takes advantage of the new Geometry Shell technology in DAZ Studio 4.6. This has many advantages over the Layered Image Editor dependent effects of previous versions.

Geometry Shells are second skins so it makes this product UV independent. It means it can be used on any DAZ human model. Specially useful on DAZ Genesis 2 figures that are characterized by a variety of different UVs. This means this product is not only compatible with Victoria & Michael 6 but for every other Genesis 2 character from Victoria to Aiko 6 and from Michael 6 to Lee 6 as well as any other future DAZ releases. Potentially any humanoid figure that is brought into DAZ Studio and accepts a Geometry Shell can take advantage of this iteration of the SimonWM Wet Body product.

The wet effects are now visible in viewport without need to render so the library of drops can be used fully interactive. This means you immediately see when you load a drop from the library and you can move its position in the character skin by using the HORIZONTAL OFFSET and VERTICAL OFFSET sliders in the Surface Tab without need to render or open the Layered Image Editor. This only makes correct positioning of drops 10 times faster as well as visualization of final effects. Everything in real time!

The vertical and horizontal Geometry Shell sliders allow you to animate the drops as these sliders take DAZ Timeline keyframes as well as aniMate's.

Geometry Shell Drops are stacked as children of your figure in the Scene Tab so you can toggle on and off visibility of effects and single drops directly on the scene tab. It also means you don't risk flattening of complex drop compositions as it happened in the Layered Image Editor.

Remember as these effects are less dependent on the Specular channel than previous versions adequate lighting is more important in this version for realistic water effects. Opacity strength controlled by the surface tab in real time in viewport can also help compensate for inadequate lights.

As with previous sets, with this set you have several double click solutions, preset pose effects and the ability to detail your particular effect, controlling water placement down to the drop level. Place drops on the forehead of your figure to create a nervous character, or underneath the eyes to create a crying one. Give character to your wet render by having a drop of water come down from the nose bridge to the lip or have water coming out of the mouth. Make it sexy by having drops slide down from Victoria's back, neck or navel, or Michael's chest, biceps or abs. You control your wet scene by having the ability to place the water exactly where you want it.

Additional Details

  • On Limbs Drop Library Styles are mapped to surfaces individually by Right Side and Left Side for user convenience.
  • Its important to have a figure selected on the scene tab when calling up a Geometry Shell from the Wet Body library. Having another shell selected in the scene by mistake will cause DAZ Studio to crash.
  • When having multiple shells under one figure older versions of DAZ Studio 3Delight may give errors and the Geometry shell invisibility be messed up when rendering which requires the user to save the scene and restart DAZ Studio. This doesn't happens in newer versions of DAZ Studio
  • Multiple Shells will increase your rendering times depending on your computer resources.
