The cultists shuddered, some in fear, others in revulsion, and still more in joy, and the chains behind their altar clanked. A squamous mist appeared between them, and filled the chains, until IT was there. IT was massive and spherical, with lumps and nodules across its leathery surface. A single eye dominated the center, while four stubby tentacles waved in impotent rage, as the chains had it fastened securely.

The High Priest smiled in grim satisfaction, then turned to the cult. “Now that that's out of the way, do we have the minutes from the last meeting, Madame Secretary?”

One woman in hideously embroidered robes nodded. “Yes sir. The meeting began on the fourteenth of March, with President in the chair, and Vice President and Secretary present. The Sergeant At Arms was summoned, and the minutes read and approved…”
