Proper Emissive for Iray is pretty much the alternative and better way to light your scenes using mesh lights. Ready to go lights with a camera function to control the angle of your lights, also pack with variety of different styles of lights. Even with presets you can mix and match and alter at your advantage. So if you are tired of the old way and using spotlights, points, and directional lights. Then proper emissive can help you can more confidence with your workflow. You can even use them to help out your HDRI maps(but you already knew that.)
