Additional Details

  • The LIGHT STRING includes a light “tube” that surrounds the string. This tube is not visible. If you want to see it, you can set the CUTOUT OPACITY (under SURFACES tab) to 1. If you do this, you should set the opacity back to .001 before rendering.
  • You can turn it off and on by clicking the appropriate “eye” in the SCENE tab. If you turn it off, light will come entirely from individual bulb filaments.
  • You can change the light properties (intensity, color, etc.) under the EMISSION tab (also under SURFACES tab).
  • The light string makes use of INSTANCES. To adjust EMISSION properties of individual bulb filaments, you should make adjustments to the emissive properties of the light that has actual geometry. All instances will change accordingly.
  • There are several “bonus” items included with this set. They make use of a high number of instances. Depending on your equipment and the scene you have set up, these items may cause issues. For example it could take a very long time to delete one of these items from your scene.
