A gorgeous traditional Vietnamese outfit for all your Genesis 8 Female characters: dress, wide leg pants, two types of hats, and shoes with optional left and right props for scene decoration.

The cone hat also has an option to hang it upside down and includes extra bones for ribbon movement.

All figures are rigged and the dress has many movement morphs but dForce is highly recommended with this set. Both Iray and 3Delight materials are included!

Additional Details

  • Standard dForce disclaimers apply: make sure your figure's skin isn't intersecting itself. Pay close attention to hands and the path they take to reach their final destination, in some cases if they're causing you issues you can make the fingers invisible in the scene tab during the simulation to avoid having to do a timeline drape. Also keep in mind armpits and between the thighs, getting mesh trapped in those places can cause explosions. Collision Mesh Resolution left at Base, which is the default, in the Simulation Settings tab works best with this set. If you load one of the full sets it may work best if you make the shoes invisible in the scene tab before simulating, in some poses the button will catch the hem of the trousers and make a mess. We didn't set the shoes to always be invisible to simulation because half the time it's no issue.
  • The material presets do not contain any dForce settings so if you change them to suit your taste they won't be overwritten. If you want to go back to the defaults there are presets for that in the Utilities folder.
  • If you're rendering with 3Delight and you're getting weird blotchy shadows under the lace areas either lower or raise the shadow bias on your lights until there are consistent shadows or no shadows under the lace, respectively. Don't forget your ambient and AO light has a setting for that as well.
  • If you load Hat 2 or the full set that contains it you might notice that there are follow nodes for both Hat 1 and Hat 2 parented to your figure's head even though there isn't a Hat 1 in the scene, this is the make the Full Set H.Materials work properly and needs to be there.
