We are proud to present this brand new Aguja character with her geograft mertails and fins.

With Aguja you will get your perfect solution for all your mermaid themed renders. On top of the tail and fins we have provided geograft gill slits for Aguja's back to match the tail. Both geografts - tail and gills - can be used together.

But Aguja is not only a beautiful mermaid. She can also be your stunning render lady for a wide variety of themes.

Her two different skins give her an everyday tanned look and a paler gothic appearance. Matching makeups allow for a wide variety, especially when you combine them with the different options for lash colors and those for the specifically crafted fibermesh brows for the character.

Additional Details

  • General Morph Types for the mertail
    • The mertail and fins load with a selection of morphs and control dials designed to help you with adjusting and posing the individual pieces. The morph categories are as follows:
    • Styles: contains shaping, draping and fit morphs which are designed to allow you to use multiple outfit pieces together.
    • Controls: controls movement of several parts of a hipskirt, innerskirt and outerskirt.
  • The controls of tail and fins:
    • The Aguja mertail and fins all load with a number of control dials which will make posing easier.
    • For example, you can bend, twist or move the tail sideways. Similar controls have been built into the fins, and they allow you to move either one part of the fins or all of them together.
  • The LIE presets for the fins:
    • This set comes with a collection of LIE presets to add colorful stripes to the webbed parts of the fins. The colors and patterning mimic that of the geoshell patterns (see below).
    • To use the LIE presets, simply select the appropriate fin part and click on the matching pattern you want to use.
  • Using the Stripes Geoshell and LIE presets
    • If you want to use the geoshell to add stripes to your mertail and/or gills, please follow the steps below:
    • 1 - load G8F
    • 2 - keep G8F selected and load the geograft tail and gills (or just the tail)
    • 3 - load the geoshell with G8F selected
    • 4 - select the geoshell and apply any stripe pattern of your choosing to the geoshell
    • The LIE presets for the fins and tails will apply matching stripe patterns with the same color scheme as that of the geoshell stripes.
  • Using the geograft tail and gills
    • Please note that when rendering closeups of the tail and gills, set your High Threshold for Texture Compression to 5120 found under the Render Settings tab → Advanced).
    • When you are using the gills and mertail geograft, plase make sure that their skin base textures, glossy and translucency settings are matching those of G8F. By default tail and gills load with the human tanned texture, so you will have to change it when you want to use the pale texture. You can find the appropriate materials, “Aguja Gills” And “Aguja Tail” under People/Genesis 8

Female/Anatomy/Arki/Aguja/Materials/Iray/Arki. The human tanned materials are labeled “Human”, and the pale materials are labeled “Mermaid”.

  • The matching gloss and translucency settings can be found under People/Genesis 8 Female/Characters/DarwinsMishap/Aguja/Iray/Skin Settings/Gloss and People/Genesis 8 Female/Characters/DarwinsMishap/Aguja/Iray/Skin Settings/Translucency in their own “Mermaid Geograft Settings” folders.
  • Please make sure to change base skin, gloss and translucency setting on BOTH Genesis AND the mertail and gills!
  • The dForce Bodywebbing:
    • If you want to set up a dForce simulation, please take the following steps:
    • 1 - Load G8F into your scene
    • 2 - Load the dForce Bodywebbing on your Genesis figure (or load the full wearables preset with all tail and fin parts plus geoshell and dForce Bodywebbing)
    • 3 - Set up an animation with 41 frames
    • 4 - In frame 1, set a keyframe (click on the little key icon with the plus symbol inside, to the far right end of the bottom icon bar) with Genesis in default pose and your freshly loaded dForce Bodywebbing
    • 5 - Go to frame 10, select a pose of your liking. Add a new keyframe in pose 10
    • 6 - Go to the Simulation tab inside DAZ Studio and change the following default settings: Start Bones from Memorized Pose - OFF, Frames To Simulate: Animated (Use Timeline Play Range), Collision Mesh Resolution: Viewport
    • 7 - Hit the “Simulate” Button!
  • To render the eyes correctly with default shaders you need to have have Draw Dome on in the Iray render settings, otherwise you can use the supplied Aguja Switch To Mono SSS material preset.
