Additional Details

  • When placing the floating plants in this bundle you will find two distinct types - Water chestnut and Water Crows foot have a floating portion at the top of a longer submerged stem . Position these so that the top portion of the plant is slightly above or level with the water surface. You can also use these for underwater renders too.
  • For the duck weed which floats on the water surface with little or no roots, load it in to your scene and find the y value for the water surface ( if your not sure duplicate the water surface object and then load an opaque material too it. you will then be able to see where your plants are in relation to this.) Position your duckweed +0.1 of a y axis value above the value for the water plane ( if your water plane is at -14 then your duck weekd should be at -14.01)
  • As always you can vary the scaling and the y rotation of all of the included plants to give a much more varied look from only a few plants. All are great for instancing.
