dForce Jay Hair is a morphing dForce strand hair model of a side-parted, wavy, shoulder-length hair with side fringe/bangs. Morph dial sliders help fit your figure poses beyond the 9 sample hair poses provided. The dForce hair is grown on a skull cap that is fitted for Genesis 3 and 8 Female(s) and auto-follows most character head shapes.

Iray and 3Delight diffuse color presets are included. You can modify the tints by changing the diffuse color of the hair to a variety of blacks, blondes, blues, and oranges, as well as purple, pink, red, silver, and white!

Additional Details

  • To use the hair:
  • Single frame method:
    • 1. Apply Simulation Preset Provided: “Simulate Single Frame”
    • 2. Load Genesis
    • 3. Load Hair and apply material and style presets
    • 4. Apply a pose to the figure, and (if required) apply a starting hair pose to make sure the hair is not intersecting shoulders or other body parts.
    • 5. Click “Simulate” to drape dForce Hair
    • 6. Optionally use hair morphs/poses to enhance final drape movement
  • Timeline method:
    • 1. Apply Simulation Preset Provided: “Simulate Timeline”
    • 2. Load Genesis
    • 3. Load Hair and apply material and style presets
    • 4. Go to frame 15 and apply a pose to the figure, and (if required) apply a hair pose to the hair. (Make sure hair doesn't pass through the body between frame 1 and your applied poses in frame 15 or else add intermediate poses in between those two frames to make sure the hair is not intersecting shoulders or other body parts.)
    • 5. Click “Simulate” to drape dForce Hair (You may need to extend total frames to 90 or longer to give hair time to settle depending on the pose.)
    • 6. Optionally use hair morphs/poses to enhance final drape movement
  • Usage Tips:
    • You can easily modify hair colors by selecting your own diffuse color settings for the hair.
    • After posing, use the style and movement morph dials to match your figure's pose and also ensure fitting.
    • You need at least one light in the scene that will provide the specular highlighting!
