Product Information

HDRI Green Fields II will make you jump of joy surrounded by grass, flowers, trees and blue skies.

They are calibrated for the default Iray Render Settings, so most materials will react very well. Now they come with a Universal DOF Camera and Render Settings, which can be used in all the previous Whitemagus HDRI´s, so if you own previous products you are in luck, this camera along with the new settings will provide a more accurate depth of field.

This product contains 12 HDRI´s at 16k, 12 HDRI´s at 8k and a preview size at 1K X 0.5k, 2 Universal DOF cameras and Render Settings and 9 DOF presets. To light without sharp reflections or background one can use the preview size at 1K it loads faster also provides a better workflow and the light is very similar. One can load the HDRI´s from the Render Presets, or directly from the Textures folder in the Runtime Libraries, quick note, set the folder for “Large Icons” so you can see the thumbnails of the HDR and Mat. Ball.

Also, you need to remember to click on the draw dome (on the Render Settings, Environment) when you load and HDRI from start, this is a new feature that was introduced in the last products, because when you are in the “Zone” clicking and experimenting which light HDRI to use and have Tone Mapping and Environment Settings all setup you don't want to reset them every time you load an HDRI, so now you can change the HDRI by click and it won't reset the settings, giving you more freedom to try and test new lights and backgrounds seamlessly.

This, along with the new DOF settings, will turn the HDRI experience into a thrill!

Note: This product does not include the Characters! Some promotional images do have minor Photoshop color enhancement and paint in the characters' feet, while others do not have any post work at all. Check the Tips in the Readme to ground the characters into the Grass Fields.

Additional Details

  • Tip1- the fastest way to test the light in one model to see how it reacts is to use the Preview 1K in the render presets. This way one can click on each HDRI preset and get a feel of each light.
  • Tip2- Use the 1K Preview Size to build the scene, then 8k for Wip or final, only on final render the High Res 16K should be loaded because it slows down the workflow quite a bit.
  • Tip3- To Ground the Feet of characters in the Grass of the Green Fields, it is better to Paint it on Photoshop or similar, I tried using 3d grass and plugins didn´t work well, so using a stamp tool to put the green on the edges of shadows and feet, it is faster and gives better results.
