dforce Asymmetric Button Dress for Genesis 8 Females is a stylish yet casual dress that can be worn any way you want. There are 4 versions included, from fully buttoned to fully unbuttoned, and you can adjust the length and width, which gives more folds to the skirt when draped. Also included are a host of different materials, including denim, embroidered, and business-like pinstripes. There are some white versions that can be used as they are, or you can edit the base color for the main fabric and edges separately to easily create your own looks! Presets are included to change just the buttons for further mix and match options. dForce Asymmetric Button Dress for Genesis 8 Females adds style and sophistication to any character!

• This item is intended to be used with dForce draping. There are a large number of characters with bespoke morphs included, but it can be used with any character. While it will often give good results with the default simulation on the current frame, the safest way to achieve a good drape is to set up a small animation with 61 frames (2 seconds) and set the pose and character that you want at frame 40 and select the Simulate Animation option. For extreme poses you may want to extend these timings. You can get the dress to cling by setting a Contraction-Expansion ratio to less than 100% - try 90% as a starter. In the unlikely event that you get the dreaded “explosion” when draping, ensure that the material is not getting trapped under the arms or legs, and you can reduce the Stretch Stiffness a little.

• I have included some white material options which allow you to create your own color schemes for this outfit by simply changing the Base Color for the Fabric and Edges separately. Apply different Button presets for more mix and match options.

• The buttons use Rigid Follower Nodes to follow the draped dress – this generally gives very good results, however there may be occasions when the cloth under the button is highly folded and you may need to manually adjust the rotation or position of the button slightly to achieve the best look.
