Ancient Stones - Mossy Bricks is a powerful way to transform walls, pavements, and any structure by adding layers of moss and lichen all in one shader! Using the 4-layer uber pbr mdl shader that ships with Daz Studio, layers of moss and lichen are added on top of the 14-base masonry and stone shader presents in this bundle.

This gives you control over how much moss or lichen you want to grow in the cracks between stones or on the bricks, and some of the effects found in the utility shaders are subtle and some bold. The shaders masonry shaders come with pre-loaded levels of moss and lichen layers, which can then be adjusted either by using the convenient utility presents included or by opening up the shader panel and editing there.

Designed around the original Ancient Stones Bundle, this stand-alone bundle will blend perfectly with the original (moss-free) ancient stones shaders or can be used on their own as this is a stand-alone sister bundle.

Whether used as a standalone set of shaders or in combination with the original ancient stones bundle, the powerful Ancient Stones- Mossy Walls allows you to add much more realism to your renders with minimum fuss.

Additional Details

  • To add a shader to a surface, make sure that the object and corresponding surface are selected.
  • Because this is a layered shader, its appearance in any viewport but Iray will not be the same as when rendered.
  • When making any adjustments to the shader either via the surfaces tab or using the presents contained in the bundle you will need to use the Iray viewport to do so, as the changes will not show up in any other viewport.
  • Only the premade presets included in this bundle will work with this shader set, any other ready-made adjustment presets will remove all of the layers from the shader. Alterations made within the surfaces tab will not affect this.
  • Subdivision is turned on in the shader presets included. The shader will always work better on an object that is set to a subdivision. The lower the mesh quality ( number of polygons) in any given mesh, the higher the subdivision value will need to be for any of the displacement to show.
