MMX Face Paint for Genesis 3, 8, and 8.1 uses geometry shells so that the face paint sits on the skin like real paint would, instead of blending into the skin like a tattoo.
This means that you can use any character shape, any character skin, any skin setting, and any other makeup set you want with this set, and it will be compatible. Every face paint is asymmetrical, hand-painted, no two dots or lines are the same and they all have imperfections. Even the male and female versions of each design are a bit different from one another. The face paints are full of details that hold up well in close-up portrait shots.
You get 25 face paint designs, plus 25 mirrored versions, with partial options for each. The partial options can be combined together using multiple geometry shells to make different designs. Each face paint has 3 separate color mats that will give you a mixed color design and they can be used with both the full designs and the partials. There are also 38 single color diffuse options plus an additional 27 grayscale diffuse colors. These can be used with the full-color mats or by themselves.
Additional options include presets to adjust the Mesh Offset for the geometry shell, which will adjust how far the geoshells sit off the skin. Bump presets to adjust how much of the paint detail is visible and on-off settings with strength adjustments for the color mats. The geometry shell will load with only the head node visible, using only the face and lips surfaces. This will greatly reduce the overall resources used by each geoshell when rendering.
