Product Information

Flockit is an incredibly useful tool, but perhaps you're stymied as to what you can do with it? That's where FF's Flockit Flourishes Poses for Genesis 8 comes to the rescue. Not only are there 10 hierarchical handcrafted digital poses each for the Genesis 8/8.1 male and female shapes (plus mirrors! That's a total of 44 poses to get your imagination rolling!) this set also comes with an additional 25 “starter” position poses - just for the Flockit product that you can use as a launchpad for using Flockit in your renders.

To make things easier, included you'll find a wearable preset for both Genesis 8/8.1 Male and Female figures that will load Flockit onto your character. (Pro-tip: if a figure has a hip bone you can use the wearable preset on that figure. You might need to do a little adjusting, but you can use the Flockit “starter” poses on dogs, cats, orangutans buildings, vehicles - whatever you can imagine!)

And finally rounding out the collection are 40 “use anywhere” standard pose preset versions of the hierarchical pose presets, so you can use the poses without Flockit, should you desire to do so.

As always, FeralFey poses are fact checked for gravity, balance, and realism.

Additional Details

  • Thanks for purchasing FF's Flockit Flourishes Poses for Genesis 8! I appreciate your patronage!
  • FF's Flockit Flourishes Poses for Genesis 8 will work with both the Genesis 8 and the Genesis 8.1 base figures.
  • To use, please select either the Genesis 8/8.1 male or female figures. While selected, click on the “Wearable” preset to load Flockit onto your figure. At this point, you can either apply the hierarchical pose preset you want to use, then load the prop you want to use on the Flockit. While the prop is selected, call up the Flockit “Propigator” script and fill in the fields as you see fit. (Note, it's best that you don't select any of the translation/rotation. Leaving them blank allows the prop to line up uniformly on Flockit, making it easier to adjust the rotation, translation, and scaling you might want for the final look of your scene.) Once the script has run, you will see your prop has multiplied (or been instanced) in the Flockit pattern in the hierarchical pose. You can now fine tune and adjust the positions of these to get the look you're after.
  • You can load Flockit and the associated props before or after you apply the hierarchical pose preset. One shouldn't affect the other.
  • Note: by selecting the “Boss” ball and scaling it, you can uniformly increase or decrease the distances between the flockit positions (so if you have a really big prop, you can make sure there's a really big space for it). You can also individually move, rotate, or scale each prop or instance by either selecting the flockit number or the prop that is parented to that flockit number. The possibilities are endless!
  • Note 2: Most of the hierarchical pose presets are set up so that you can use some or all of the flockit positions - use however many you like. The lower the number, the more “important” it is to the pose, so that when you get down to 15 and above, those are just mainly for fill-ins on most poses.
  • Pro-tip: Say you want to use 2 separate props with flockit (either on a hierarchical pose preset, or one of the started flockit poses.) Load the first prop into your scene. Go ahead and use all 20 positions and run the Propigator script. Then go to the scene hierarchy tab and delete the props from the flockit positions that you want to use on the second prop. Once those are deleted, select your second prop option, and run the Propigator script again, but this time you'll see that you can't use all 20 positions. The script determines how many flockit positions are open. Run the script and now you'll see the new props have been added to the flockit. Move, rotate, and scale to your satisfaction and then render! (Well, add lights and stuff first, but you know what I mean.)
  • Enjoy!
