Additional Details

  • General Morph Types
    • The outfit parts of this product load with a selection of morphs and control dials designed to help you with fitting them. The morph categories are as follows:
    • Adjustments: Alter shape and fit of a piece.
    • Styles: Contains shaping morphs which are designed to allow you to use mulitple outfit pieces together.
    • Hide-Show: Hide specific parts of an outfit piece to achieve a new look.
    • Controls: Controls movement and size of separate parts.
  • Please note that several outfit parts load with some morphs or hide-show options already dialed in. This applies for the wearable presets which already have some style and fit morphs activated. You can dial these back to customize the outfit pieces or to assure a better fit to your figure/pose.
  • The Royal Sun Wardrobe and dForce
  • How to work with the Royal Sun Wardrobe and dForce
    • Load G9 into your scene; also load a plane primitive into your scene to act as a collision object for the floor
    • Apply your chosen outfit piece to G9; please note that the some of the longer pieces like the skirts and sleeves might interesect with the floor. To be sure they will not get stuck in the floor, you might want to lift the figure above floor level in frame 1 to avoid intersections!
    • Set up an animation with 51 frames (you can raise this value if you want the piece or pieces to settle and drape more fully)
    • In frame 1, set a keyframe (click on the little key icon with the plus symbol inside, to the far right end of the bottom icon bar) with Genesis in default pose and your freshly loaded simulation ready wearables preset
    • Go to frame 25, select a pose for Genesis, then add a new keyframe
    • Go to the Simulation tab inside DAZ Studio and change the following default settings: Start Bones from Memorized Pose - OFF, Frames To Simulate: Animated (Use Timeline Play Range), Collision Mesh Resolution: Base
    • 7. Hit the “Simulate” Button!
  • For some scenes you can try to reduce the Air Resistance values in the simulation settings (Simulation Settings tab, Enironment Settings). This will help prevent ballooning of the simulated parts and will also help them to settle on the figure earlier.
  • If you are using the skirt, veil or sleeves without their drape morphs, it is recommended to set the Intialization Time to a value between 0.5 and 1.
  • Managing dForce Details and some Tips
    • In some cases it might be necessary to adjust the position of some clothing parts (sleeves, skirt) so they are arranged properly over or behind some body or outfit parts. Be sure to check your final results after the simulation and make the appropriate adjustments. You can use the control dials (under Actor/Controls) for repositioning of the articulated outfit parts of skirt and sleeves.
    • Please note that you should remove all items/outfit pieces which would intersect with the simulating garment pieces before simulation. For example, for the Robe that would be the Robe Ornament Shell and every other item that would heavily intersect with the simulating pieces in your final pose.
  • Since this outfit consists of multiple layering parts which can be simulated, it is best practice to first simulate the base layer (for example the Undergown) alone by itself, with all other items above it either deleted or hidden in the scene tab.
  • Then freeze this layer after the simulation has run. To do so, navigate to the scene tab and select your draped garment. Then go to the Parameters tab and find the “Simulation” section under the General options. Switch die “Freeze Simulation” option to “ON”.
  • Now you can load or unhide the robe as a second layer over the undergown. Run the simulation again and afterwards adjust the robe for best fit. Also check your collision items (found in the General section of the Parameters tab of the Robe, in the Mesh Smoothing section. Here you can set the Collision Items to the desired one. Normally it will be Genesis 9, but if you find you have some intersections between the robe and the undergown, you can switch this to the robe figure via the pulldown menu.
  • Please note that the provided wearables presets all load with altered collision items to give you a helpful starting point for simulations. In most cases these alterations will work, but sometimes it might be useful to switch them back to their defaults (Genesis 9).
  • The Robe and dForce
    • The robe with its long draping sleeves will have to be prepositioned in a dForce simulation for best results.
    • When you have chosen your final pose for a simulation (in frame 20 or the frame you picked for your end pose), please position the lower sleeves and top sleeve parts of the robe to wrap around the lower arms of your figure. The sleeve wrist ornament should be positioned over and as close as possible to the wrist. The main body of the sleeve should be posed following your vision. Either pointing down, following gravity, or upwards/sidewards if you are going for a more dynamic pose.
  • Robe and Belt Addons
    • The robe and belt were created to work in concert with a couple of add-on items. For the robe, the
    • Geoshell Robe Ornament Shell and the
    • Robecords
    • were created to add some detail. These items can be loaded by selecting the wearable “RS Robe” or by adding both pieces individually later in the process.
    • To do so, navigate to the “Pieces” subfolder, select the robe figure and apply either the Robercords or the Robe Ornament Shell.
    • The belt works in a similar fashion and can be expanded by attaching the belt ends - which in turn load with pre attached teardrop ornaments at their lower ends.
    • The wearables “RS Belt” and “RS Belt Glow” load the full ensemble of the belt complete with beltends and teardrops in their respective emissive and non-emisse variations.
  • Emissive Options
    • The items with gem adornments
    • armorcollar
    • belt and beltends
    • corset
    • robe and
    • slippers
    • come with specialized material options which add an emissive glow to the gem bases. Some poses or morphs of the garment may distort these gems so that you might find black patches breaking up the emissive glow. In that case, please try to fix the issue by applying the “Adjust Gembases” morphs to the affected pieces. You can find this morph under Actor/Adjustments in the Parameters tab of the piece.
    • The tear drops can also be turned into emissive items. The “Glow” versions of some items like armorcollar and belt include emissive spark objects which are parented to the teardrops.
  • To change the glow colors of sparks and emissive teardrop sparks, please navigate to the folder “Gems + Sparks” under Materials/Iray/Arki and apply the emissive materials to their respective pieces. The emissive teardrop sparks will have to be located in your scene hierarchy by entering the search term “spark” in the search window above. Only when the sparks are selected their emissive materials can be applied.
  • Another way to apply all the emissive materials at once to all parts is to use the “GLOW” hierarchical materials presets. Please note that these will only apply emissives to the sparks if sparks are present in the scene.
  • Customizations and Wearables
    • Some of the different configurations for this outfit use the different options to show/hide parts of several pieces. You can find these options in each of these mentioned outfit pieces in your parameters tab under Hide-Show.
    • To reset each of the pieces to their default state, please use the included utilities found under People/Genesis 9/Clothing/Arki/Royal Sun/Utilities/.
