As wars wage on the ground, wars will rage in the vacuum of space.

This product contains a variety of VDBs helpful for a variety of scenes, particularly in space or high orbit.

Atmospheres provide a sphere or bubble of haze, with or without glowing effect.

They can be handy for creating an edge of atmosphere around a planet object, or a variety of other phenomena.

Beams are suitable for laser or plasma beams, bolts of energy, or even lighting or more exotic visuals.

Jets help create many plumes from missiles and ships.

Finally, a variety of explosions add boom and flash to your scene.

Additional Details

  • Changing Scattering Modifier will color any associated smoke/haze. Absorption Modifier will absorb different colors and can be increased to make smoke more reflective.
  • Density can make for very thick, solid smoke surfaces, or faint wispy ones. Experiment to find the right look.
  • For example, the colored beams use some color in scattering to help 'sell' the look of intense beams.
  • Emission multiplier and emission scale boost the intensity of emission. High scale will make sharper dramatic shifts in emission, while low scale smooths it out. Small changes in the multiplier can make for dramatic results.
  • Emission color adds tint, but this is added to the temperature inherent to VDB emission. Some colors tend to reduce emitted light, so you may want to increase the emission multiplier to compensate.
