Viewport Tool

Each Viewport Tool interacts with the Viewport in a unique, specific way. One Viewport Tool may rotate a node, while another may translate a Node. Often times a Viewport Tool will provide a manipulator within the Viewport for quick and easy access to the intended functions. A Viewport Tool can also provide additional settings that control how the tool functions and/or how to interact with it. These settings are found in the Tool Settings pane.

Parent Elements

Below is a list of interface elements that a Viewport Tool can exist within:

  • Viewport - the window into the virtual universe inside the computer; displays what a viewer might see when looking into a scene; provides the scene from a designated angle and offers the visible Nodes listed in the Scene (WIP) pane
