The Account Window is the first window you see when you launch Install Manager; usually displayed over the top of the Main Window. Its purpose is to provide you with the means to add an account, choose which account you would like to access and ultimately log in to that account, so that you can retrieve any product downloads that may be waiting for you on the DAZ 3D servers and/or install any of the products that you may have already downloaded.
Until an account is added, this window displays a green add_account_button on the left. Pressing the button will cause the add_account_window to be displayed. Once an account has been added, the Add Account Button is replaced by an Account Selector. Adding an account will also cause the Work Offline Option, as well as the Account Password Field, the Remember Me Option and the Start Button, to become enabled.
When an account is selected and the Work Offline Option is checked, Install Manager will allow you to access that account without connecting to the DAZ 3D Store. Checking this option will cause the Password Field and the Remember Me Option to become disabled.
The Password Field allows you to enter the password for the selected account, while the Remember Me Option will cause the password you enter into the field to be securely stored for that account once the Start Button is pressed. Clearing a stored password for an account can be accomplished by unchecking the Remember Me Option and then continuing with logging in to that account.
When working_online, pressing the Start Button causes Install Manager to attempt to authenticate the selected account with the DAZ 3D Store. If authentication fails for some reason, like the account credentials do not match what is known by the store or there are connection issues between your computer and the store, a message will be displayed to alert you to the situation. If your credentials are correct and a connection is established, but you have not agreed to the current End User License Agreement (EULA), you will be prompted to do so. If a newer version of Install Manager exists than the one you are currently using, you will be prompted to update to that version or switch to working_offline mode.
