Weight map editing functions change the intensity values of the active map. Weight maps represent a range of intensity value between 0% and 100%. The default visual representation of a map's value is displayed in the viewport as a shaded gradient between blue 0% and red 100%. The total combined contribution of all bones to an individual vertex cannot exceed 100%.
