Get ready for the casual look with this softly tied half up half down hairstyle for Genesis 9. The hair is utilizing Iray curves for smooth rendering and OmniHair shader for realistic looks.

It comes with 30 hair colors to choose from with 64 morphs for adjusting, styling and movement. You will get 9 style presets for instant styling.

This hair works like a regular conforming hair. It can partly use dForce simulation features, but they are limited. You will notice that it simulates rather stiffly than following gravity. This is for the reason to keep the base hair styling. When using simulation on the hair, please make sure that in the Simulation Tab the option “Start Bones From Memorized Pose” is set to OFF. Only simulate the current frame, no animation.

All options are optimized for Daz Studio Iray only and require at least Daz Studio version 4.22.

• Simulation:

When using simulation on the hair, please make sure that in the Simulation Tab the option “Start Bones From Memorized Pose” is set to OFF. Only simulate the current frame, no animation.

Speed up loading times:

This hair comes with a comprehensive set of figure fits. You may not own all of the supported figure shapes, so deleting the morphs from the hair will speed up loading times. Navigate to “data\outoftouch\Softly Tied Ponytail Hair\Softly Tied Ponytail Hair Strands New” and delete the files for the figure shapes you do not own or need. For example: “Addy Kate Body.dsf” and “Addy Kate Head.dsf”.

Custom figure shape fits:

In case the auto-follow feature of Daz Studio does not give you desired results for a figure shape that is not supported by default and the auto-generated fit looks off, you can manually create your own fit using the included morphs. Select the hair in the scene and go to Parameters Tab → Currently Used. Make sure “Show Hidden Properties” is turned ON in the Preferences of the Parameters Tab. In the “Currently Used” list you will see the auto-generated figure shape morphs. Turn them down to 0 and then create the fit manually with the included adjustment morphs.
