Ever found your self in possession of a figure or prop and want a quick background to complement your work with it?

Look no further, this set of Planes (altered to have material/shader zones and Subdivision for realistic surfaces for floors, ground, and walls) to which you can add the shaders of your choosing from any shader set you like ( though i do recommend some of my Ancient stones for brick and stone work and tile textures too! ) To quickly create either simple or more complex backgrounds.

Need to replace a floor with something a little more interesting, the floor panels are perfect for that, same with walls, need a wall in back of an open doorway, no problem just load and place either a single panel or a scene subset and then texture to match your scene!

The wall planes have been material zoned to simulate walls with the option of dado rails, skirting boards and top borders - all of which will take the same material at the same scaling ratio seamlessly meaning you can choose to use them as a single surface or divide them as you wish.

There is even a wall plane with panels which would be perfect for wood, or the included mosaic pictures, wall paper or any other feature texture, let your imagination run wild.

The floor planes are the same with variations from a complex arrangement of squares and borders to a more simple one, and the material zones work in the same way too meaning you could add one shader to all zones at the same scaling ratio and you have a simple floor.

I have included subsets of floor and walls, some simple two wall one floor panel and also a larger 3×3 floor subset and two stackable 3×4 wall subsets which will create a larger room in just a few clicks, just load and position.

Once you have your wall and floor planes in place you can add your shaders ( I've included a bonus set of mosaic tile shaders to get you started! ) and also architectural features such as fire places, pillars etc., from your favorite bundles, making it quick and simple to Kit bash a scene in a few minuets.

Fun and simple to use and if you dont like the shader you add you can just add the corresponding material preset to re add the template to that plane.

So unleash your inner set designer, use that set of shaders you bought but have never really gotten the chance to use, and unleash your imagination!

Additional Details

  • Once you have your wall and floor planes in place you can add your shaders
  • Use the template materials (they load with the wall and floor planes or can be added via material presets) to place your shaders.
  • The UV mapping of these planes mean that you can add one shader across all material zones and as long as the material scale is the same in each zone , achieve a seamless surface.
