Additional Details

  • ReadMe Notes:
  • General Morph Types
  • The outfit parts of this product load with a selection of morphs and control dials designed to help you with fitting them. The morph categories are as follows:
    • Adjustments: Alter shape and fit of a piece.
    • Styles: Contains shaping morphs which are designed to allow you to use mulitple outfit pieces together.
    • Hide-Show: Hide specific parts of an outfit piece to achieve a new look.
    • Movement: Alter shape of moveable fabric parts and style morphs for draping, opening and closin selected fabric pieces.
  • Please note that several outfit parts load with some morphs options already dialed in. This applies for the wearable presets which already have some style morphs activated. You can dial these back to customize the outfit pieces or to assure a better fit to your figure/pose.
  • The Uniform Styles and dForce
  • How to work with the Uniform Styles and dForce
    • 1. Load G9 into your scene; also load a plane primitive into your scene to act as a collision object for the floor in case you want to work with lying or seated poses
    • 2. Apply your chosen outfit piece or wearable preset to G9
    • 3. Set up an animation with 51 frames (you can raise this value if you want the piece or pieces to settle and drape more fully)
    • 4. In frame 1, set a keyframe (click on the little key icon with the plus symbol inside, to the far right end of the bottom icon bar) with Genesis in default pose and your freshly loaded simulation ready wearables preset
    • 5. Go to frame 25, select a pose for Genesis, then add a new keyframe
    • 6. Go to the Simulation tab inside DAZ Studio and change the following default settings: Start Bones from Memorized Pose - OFF, Frames To Simulate: Animated (Use Timeline Play Range), Collision Mesh Resolution: Base
    • 7. Hit the “Simulate” Button!
  • For some scenes you can try to reduce the Air Resistance values in the simulation settings (Simulation Settings tab, Enironment Settings). This will help prevent ballooning of the simulated parts and will also help them to settle on the figure earlier.
  • Managing the attached buttons, insignia and rank pins
  • Some of the included rigged buttons and other props are attached to the shirt, jacket and pants as rigid follow nodes which will not deform when your pose or morph your figure. All the mentioned accessories have been set up to not deform, and will in some case need to be manually adjusted to your chosen pose or morph.
  • All mentioned attached items have to be selected through the scene tab or in your scene document to access the control dials.
  • The Caps
  • The two caps of this set are set up as a smart propped figures which is parented to Genesis 9‘s head.
  • In some cases they will have to be adjusted manually for best fit, depending on the pose and/or shape of your character.dForce Uniform Styles for Genesis 9 (Charlie 9 DO) (Notes to QA: promo renders main and thumbnail are placeholders to be replaced by final version later)
