Originally discovered by the Spanish in central and south America, the canna had for thousands of years been cultivated by the indigenous people of that area, for its nutritional value, since then and for the past 500 years it has traveled the world, and can now be found naturalized in parts of Europe, Asia and Australia in warmer wetter climes. Even more temperate gardeners prize it in their borders and will go to great lengths to protect its rhizomes in the winter!

As always a little goes a long way and one plant and its instances can be made to look like many different ones with small variations in the y rotation and scale values.
